It’s been a couple years since I last targeted these beauties. The day started off slow but after putting in the work and a big move, we got rewarded with this 14” beauty right here! I forgot how much I love fishing for black crappies!

Gear used: dipstick, 5mm Nuclear Perch paired with 1.3” waxies plastic.

I’m not done with the hard water season by any means but this mild weather gets me thinking about these guys! Anyone else getting excited for open water season?

I missed yesterday but we hit up big windy last weekend!

Last Saturday we made the trip out to Lake Winnipeg for the first time this hard water season. The game plan was to move around as needed but we didn’t have to. We had waves of bait fish coming through steady all day follow by a steady greenbacks all day. No masters but great average size rolling throughout the day.

Finally had a chance to got out on the water last night with a good buddy. It was a beauty evening to put a smack down on some Largies!!

I won’t lie, definitely been on a social media break the last few weeks as life has gotten busy. It’s a good busy though. I haven’t been out fishing as much lately, the passion for fishing remains the same. I hope you all have a great week!

I haven’t posted in a minute but that doesn’t mean I have been out fishing! Going out to new lakes has been my goal this winter. Check off one of the lake I’ve been wanting to go to for a while. We didn’t find what we were after but if there is one thing I can tell you about this ice season, if there’s perch in the lake…I’ll find them! 7mm tungsten from paired with my favourite plastics from has been key this winter!!

Been going out to lake Winnipeg over the last few weekends to target the beautiful Lake Winnipeg Greenbacks. Trying out different, new to us spots, far away from crowd. We have found some really nice greenbacks during what’s been a tough bite on big windy but let me tell you, if there is perch around…it’s a given that’s what I’m catching 😂 I love fishing for perch but these guys are bite baits that they should be. It’s all part of the fun though. Anyone else been out to the big lake? How’d you do?

You gotta love it when your sitting on top of a school of perch! Drop after drop your hammering them! Could not have asked for a better day!

The hard water season has officially started for me!! Went out to lake in hopes to have a to find some small perch, walleye and medium sized pike. Ended up with a couple really nice perch and a tiny pike. Man does it feel good to be back on the ice!!

Getting so close, I can almost taste it!! Anyone else going to be looking for ice this weekend?

It’s fair from new, fair from perfect but it’s exactly was I was looking for! This is a purchase I have been putting off for years now but after last winter, it was time for this to happen. This Polaris 440 should make getting around A LOT easier this upcoming hard water season!!

With snow in the forecast, it’s hard not to get pumped for ice fishing! Anyone else feeling the same way?

Does anyone else get this excited for first ice? I know it will be a little bit but soon enough!!!
