Hey guys! I’m on TikTok and will be sharing fitness stuff along with everyday things, mom things, life things, all the things. At the end of this is a sweet upper body workout I did today! So pause at the end and screenshot it to try it out!

Simple but effective body weight workout!

5 Rounds:
5 Push-ups
10 Leg Lifts (lying flat on your back)
15 Superman’s (2 sec hold at the top)
20 Mountain climbers
25 Jumping Jacks

Make sure to warmup beforehand. Here’s a good one- 20 toe touches to stretch out the hamstrings, 20 jumping jacks to elevate the heart rate and get your body warm, quad stretch, arm stretch across chest, arm stretch behind head. Make sure to stretch afterwards as well.

Enjoy!

When you get upset over lack of progress ask yourself these things:

1. Have you gotten a plan and put it into action?
2. Have you been consistent with the plan?
3. Have you put intensity into the plan?

The typical cycle looks like this- Start new plan -> Stay on track two weeks -> Start another new plan because you think you should’ve made more progress in those two weeks -> Get frustrated that “nothing is working” -> Give up for 6 months only to start the cycle over again.

So how do you get out of the vicious cycle?

-> Get a plan that suits YOUR goals that is also REALISTIC.

-> Stay consistent!! Give the plan 6 weeks before you decide it’s not working. If you haven’t seen ANY progress (physical changes, strength improvements, more energy, better sleep, etc.)

-> If it’s important to you, stick it out and work hard. It’s not going to be easy but it will always be worth it.

Control what you can when sh*t hits the fan. That’s my new motto. Continuing to eat healthy foods is ONE thing I CAN control right now. 🙌🏻

Sweet potatoes, green beans, onion, chicken and avocado. 🥑

Hey friends! I know that this time can be stressful with being out of our routines, anxiety of the unknown, gyms closing, practicing social distancing, etc. I want to do something to help you guys keep some sort of structure or routines so on top of the workouts I already share on my instagram daily, I have compiled a weeks worth of home workouts that I have personally written into a file that I would like to share with you all for FREE. Free as in, you don't owe me a thing. All you will need for these workouts is your body and a set of dumbbells or something you can use in the place of dumbbells. Two of the workouts have the option for jump rope but don't fret, you can do jumping jacks or step jacks in place of the rope if you don't have one. If you're interested, comment or dm me your email and I will be more than happy to send the file to you. Let's stay healthy together (but like actually apart because it's illegal to do it together. ;))

Hey guys! I hope everyone is making the most of your time and doing some productive things. Here is the home workout I shared on my ig yesterday. This circuit is meant to be 30 minutes with 7 rounds and two minutes of buffer time for a water break IF NEEDED. If you don’t need a break, by all means keep going and get it done faster! If you try it, let me know! Or if you have questions, also let me know. Enjoy and stay healthy!

You can’t trust everything you see on the internet, pregnancy edition. .

1. Pushing out my belly.

2. Standing normal.

3. Flexing my core .

These were taken within seconds of one another. Don’t beat yourself up over how different you look from someone who may be just as far into something as you are. I mean, search the hashtag and see how different each woman carries. The human body is incredible and we are all different! I’m 5’6” and lift weights 4-5 days a week (on a good week) and do minimal cardio separate from my circuits most weeks. I have a good bit of muscle but I’ve also gained 27ish pounds and I’m 24 weeks and 3 days along. .

And please don’t think that because I share so much with you all that everyday I’m super happy about seeing myself gain a good bit of fat after working so hard the past two years to get it off. But also keep in mind that this is only a season of life. In 3.5-ish months, I won’t be pregnant anymore and most likely won’t ever be pregnant again in my life so, this is such a short season and as I see it and there’s no need in harping on things so insignificant. As long as I’m staying active, choosing healthy foods and healthy portions the majority of the time, my baby and my body are healthy, it’s all good fam. 🤘🏼

I’m opening up for a sec because I’ve realized some things over the past several days and I just really feel like being transparent with you guys.

1. Working in fitness is frustrating as hell. Why? Well, someone is always going to have an excuse or “reason” not to do what you suggest, even if they’re paying you for your professional opinion and knowledge. Go figure. This reason right here is why i swear I’m quitting my job 27 times a week.

2. The fitness “industry” is over-saturated as a m**o and not with GOOD, QUALITY coaches but with a lot of quacks who are always pushing the *next greatestttttttt thing.* sorry not sorry for that one.

3. Nobody wants to keep it real or simple anymore. Science is science no matter how you look at it. Jumping on some fad diet band wagon is not going to change the FACT that being consistent trumps any celery, pepper, nut juice cleanse all day everyday.

4. 90% of people are going to give up and revert back to old habits because they get tired of wait for it... HARD WORK. Creating positive, healthy habits is hard when you’re used to choosing the easy way out. Not many people like getting out of their comfort zone so they quit. Humans are creatures of habit but we so often don’t like creating new ones.

5. Last but not least: You don’t have to go all in to see results. Changing small things over months will get you better results than changing everything all at once and getting frustrated at yourself. Saying you don’t have the energy to exercise is a lie that you need to stop telling yourself. If you can walk to the fridge or walk to the couch, you can sure as heck take a few more laps and resist opening the fridge on your way by. Get up and simply move your body.

If any of this offended or convicted you, get to work. 🤘🏼

Ya know what? No, it’s NOT expensive to begin a health and wellness journey.

-Walking? That’s free and if you have pets, you should be doing this already anyways. So, extend that into a daily habit and make it intentional.

-Drinking water? Odds are, you already pay a water bill so you’re getting it anyways. Why not drink that and benefit your body while also saving money on what you would be putting towards soda, tea, beer, etc.

-Stretching and Yoga? Pretty simple- YouTube some beginner videos and there ya have it. If you’re reading this post, you already have internet access so YouTube access isn’t an issue. No excuses there.

-Using less condiments? This is something that not only cuts back on calories but also money.

-Cooking? Also something that cuts back on calories AND money. If you know exactly what’s in the foods you’re eating, you can better control caloric intake. When you eat at home you’re also saving money per meal plus you aren’t having to tip a server. Save money, save calories. Boom.

As long as we are fueling our bodies with nutritious foods, moving them when we can and resting when we need to, we are doing our best and there’s absolutely no need to compare our bodies to the next person. Live your best HEALTHY life.

Just because you take it off doesn’t mean it should take you down.⁣

Over and over again I’ve had people meet me, hear I have 3 kids or that I lost 100lbs and they run eyes down me and say “YOU? HOW?” And I would get this sinking feeling thinking “if only they knew what was beneath”.⁣

That was my old narrative. ⁣

I’ve talked before about the cloaks of shame we wear. How they shadow us in secret darkness, making us feel like we have to hide or conform, just to be accepted. ⁣

But that doesn’t serve us when we take it all off and face the mirror, and face the thoughts awaiting us. ⁣

The only way to rid myself of the sinking feelings of what lies beneath being something viewed as “less” was to remove that cloak of shame and blanket myself with truths and an entirely new narrative. One that didn’t make sense to me. One I’d only heard about from others. One that looked at my body as a blessing, not a curse. One that stopped looking at my body as a performance to make, but a tool to use. ⁣

Can I just share with you how much that’s changed me? ⁣
Do you know what it’s like to no longer live with such hate inside yourself? For yourself?⁣
Can you imagine talking with another and not looking at their body and thinking less of your own?⁣
Can you picture eating food and not feeling how unworthy you are to be eating, or how “bad” your body might be for it?⁣

Are we willing to acknowledge that WE are the authors and the storytellers of our own narratives that speak inside ourselves everyday? Are we willing to change the words, change the direction, change the focus? ⁣

Because quite honestly, I thought this was nonsense. Seriously. I didn’t believe in ANY of this at all.⁣

Until out of desperation I HAD to try, and slowly realized I wasn’t hating on my body so much anymore. In fact, I wasn’t noticing it much at all. ⁣

{I’m still triggered to be ashamed of my body or have negative thoughts about it, yes. But it is no longer the norm. It is the exception. Farther and fewer between.} ⁣

Are we willing to have the audacity to believe that we actually something of worth, that clothing cannot give us or take away? ⁣

Are we willing, to just believe something more?
