Aikido Update – Junior Sessions Resume

We’re excited to welcome everyone back! The first junior Aikido session after the summer break will be on Tuesday, 9th September.

We hope you had a great summer and are returning refreshed, rested, and ready to get back on the mat!

It’s also a perfect time to bring a friend along and introduce them to Aikido—new faces are always welcome!

Congratulations to Rob Milliner for passing his Godan grading and to Andy Coggon for passing his Yondan grading at the recent seminar in London. The result of hard work and commitment, well done 💪🥋

Many thanks to all from York (past and present) who attended the seminar in London over the weekend. It was a fantastic weekend with some amazing Aikido, spent with our wider national and international Aikido family 🥋

Last Junior Aikido Session – Tuesday 15th July

Just a heads-up that our final junior Aikido session of the term will be on Tuesday 15th July, before we break up for the summer holidays.

A huge thank you to Fin for his fantastic instruction and dedication over the past few months – it’s been much appreciated by all.

Have a wonderful summer, and we look forward to seeing you back on the mats in September!

Just a reminder there is no junior class this coming Tuesday as it half term.

Post Christmas session to burn off some of the Christmas calories 💪🎄😁

Congratulations to Rich Lee for passing his Nidan with one star at the Christmas seminar and grading at the RI in York yesterday. Very well deserved. Thanks to all involved for making it a great day and well done to all those who graded from the other clubs who battled the weather ⛈️ to get to York.

Quick reminder there is no classes tonight due to the road closures around the RI.
Thursday night at Tang Hall is still on.

Due to works being carried out in and around the RI there will be no classes both Juniors and Seniors this coming Tuesday. Apologies for the inconvenience.
Classes on Sundays and Thursdays as normal.

New junior class term starts this Tuesday 6.15pm at The Railway Institute, Queens Street, York.
New starters get 2 free taster sessions to give it a go.
Children aged 7 years old and above are welcome to come and join us.

IMPORTANT REMINDER.
There is no class at the RI on Easter Sunday.
Next class Tuesday as normal.
