My name is Marissa McKee and I have recently decided to become a Beach Body Coach. My goal is to help others achieve their goals for their future.
I am getting ready to do another half marathon in June. Today we are under the threat of severe storms so I had to tell myself just because storms were coming that was no excuse to not do my run! Whew 6 miles on the dreadmill complete!

This is how I feel some days especially when I have the resistance of the wind!!
Whew! 😅 Talk about tough. Went ahead and did my long run this afternoon because Saturday is supposed to be super windy. At mile 3 I was ready to throw in the towel and say not today. But then I kept giving myself goals and places to get to and I made it. But it certainly wasn't easy and I had to keep reminding my mind my legs could keep going!
I woke up this morning really not looking forward to my race today. Between being on my feet all day at my grandma's estate sale and the wind this morning I just didn't feel it! BUT.......I didn't let my mind win and I went and ran! It always feels good to have the encouragement of all the people along the course cheering you on!!
Some mornings I feel like I haven't eaten in days!! Today is one of those mornings so egg white veggie omelet with a little sprinkle of cheese for the win!
Yesterday was just one of those days. I woke up wide awake at 2am. My alarm goes off at 4:15. So when my work day was over and I was finally heading home the last thing I wanted to do was workout. But.......I did and so great full that I did. Always try, give it the 5 min rule. If after 5 min you still don't want to then you stop!! Don't let your mind be in control. We are always capable of more than our mind allows!!
Today I think I am going to need more than 1 ☕️!! I woke up wide away at 2 and my alarm goes off at 4:15. I couldn't gal back asleep! Ugh!! Gotta stay upright and keep moving😴
I am in love with roasted veggies!! In this one I did potato, sweet potato, red onion, and asparagus. A little salt, pepper, olive oil, Italian seasoning and balsamic vinegar. I put it over quinoa. Amazing!!😍
I really truly dislike doing laundry. I am not sure why but it is my least favorite thing to do! Now having said that I love a freshly made bed.

First day of spring!! Did you ever think that Spring doesn't just have to mean deep cleaning your house but also deep cleaning your body! Rid your body of that winter weight and things we may have eaten over the holidays!! I am ready to get back on track!!

But who along with me struggles with allergies?? This week has been a struggle and it has made me struggle to do my workouts. But what I love about the BOD app is I can choose workouts that still get me moving for 30 mins but work with how I am feeling that day!

I watched a special on the life and success of Warren Buffet. Can I just say that the determination that man had from the time he was a small child until now as an 86yr old man was truly mind blowing! We all want to find opportunities to make a little extra money and to help provide an even better life for our family. I choose to do coaching first and fore most as a way to help people achieve their health and fitness goals but to also provide additional income for myself for the future family I plan on having!!

As I sit here reading and winding down for bed I think back on my day. Boy was it a Monday!! Today I easily could have gone home curled up in bed and just taken a nap. But instead I did my workout and let me tell you I feel so good this evening like it wasn't a manic Monday!!
Don't let the Monday's damper your success!! Shine thru them and let others see that in you.
Fuel to start my morning right! These shakes in the morning have made a huge difference in my eating habits for the day! It is so important to have breakfast to get your body ready to take on the day and start up your metabolism. So why not start with a super dense nutritious base! Shakeology is tasty and a good quick breakfast, lunch, dinner or snack!!
Having your two year old niece workout with you is quite the challenge! But we did piyo drench! And boy was I drenched!!
I am on aunt duty the rest of this week while my sister has her sweet new baby today. Of course my niece decided to get up at 3:45. 😳 now she is back asleep and I decided to take that time to get myself ready and read a little during the quiet.
Water.....probably the most overlooked need for our body!! Drink up the water!! Here is my cup that I fill as soon as I get to work. I also try to drink at least 20oz before work and another 20 oz in the evening!
Accountability!! It is not easy to just stay accountable to yourself. It was hard putting on my layers and heading outside but my running partner will know if I didn't get out there because we have running apps that alert each other of our runs if we can't go together!
If you need help with accountability like me let me know! I am going to start a challenge group mid March that allows us to help each other!!
Some days I struggle to get out the door! But once I workout I feel so much better. Don't let your mind stop you from achieving your goal!!

My favorite way to pack a salad for my lunch at work. I put all my peppers, onions, hard boiled eggs in the bottom and then pack my lettuce in on top. At work I just add my little sprinkle of cheese and dressing out the lid back on and shake it up!! So portable and perfect😄
