Pickleball boom hitting College Station, new courts near completion at Anderson Park In 2024, pickleball was reported to be the fastest-growing sport in North America.
Navasota Pickleball Association is excited to announce the Spring 2025 Brazos Valley Open Pickleball Scholarship Tournament.
This 3-day, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday event will include:
* Mens & Womens Gender Doubles Friday evening,
* Mixed Doubles play Saturday morning, and
* Singles on Sunday afternoon.
Proceeds from the tournament will go toward scholarships for 2 graduating seniors from Navasota High School.
The Registration Fee of $30 includes your first event.
Additional events are $10 each.
All brackets will be Round Robin play, allowing more play for all teams.

When? SLIDE Smackdown is on Saturday, March 1st, from 9:30am-3pm. Check-in will begin at 9:15am.

Why? As an organization, SLIDE strives to spread Mental Health Awareness and promote outreach over Sexual Assault Awareness. SLIDE Smackdown helps raise funds for our Mental Health Week philanthropy events and our Sexual Assault Awareness Week outreach efforts

Pickleball, one of the fastest growing sports today, is a hybrid of badminton, tennis, and ping pong. Played indoors or outdoors on a badminton sized court, Pickleball features a whiffle-type ball being hit using a wooden or composite type of paddle. Similar to tennis, the game can be played as a singles or doubles and is fast paced.
There is currently one public venue offering organized pickleball in College Station, the Lincoln Recreation Center. Pebble Creek Country Club offers member only facilities, as does the Phillips Event Center in Bryan. The City of College Station also features two tennis courts that have pickleball court lines and a net adjuster for those who want to play outdoors!
The Brazos Valley Pickleball Association* offers members the opportunity to play at multiple church venues and Bryan Tennis Center. The BVPA, welcomes visitors to come and learn about the game and offers occasionally introductory classes for folks interested in learning more about the game of Pickleball in the Bryan/College Station area.
*The BVPA is comprised of Brazos Valley residents and members range in age from 35 ~ 80, however anyone is welcome to come out and join the fun! Dues are $30.00 per year.
