To say we are proud of these Vikings simply doesn’t cut it. The work they’ve put in and the sheer grit and determination … and most of all the BELIEF in themselves that’s grown and developed as the season progressed has been a joy to witness and be a part of. Thanks, Barr-Reeve soccer community for believing in them before they did so themselves. 💥⚽️💥⚽️💥

What a fun and successful ⚽️ season‼️

The teamwork and encouragement and life lessons have been a blessing. Thank you.

Also, congratulations to the South Knox Spartans boys’ team and WHS boys’ and girls’ teams as well as WCHS girls’ team on their Sectional Championship titles! Great southern Indiana soccer exhibitions and pure entertainment. ⚽️

📸 (Thanks for featuring us twice this season. We are aware you intended to feature South Knox and did so, and we also appreciate the coverage and kind words.👍)

The Barr-Reeve High School soccer team competed in their debut Sectional game against the 3-peat reigning Sectional Champions, the South Knox Spartans, Monday night. The Vikings kept the game extremely close and played a hard-fought game. The Spartans scored just before halftime. With about 18 minutes remaining in the game, the Vikings made some strategic changes in an attempt to score some goals. Unfortunately, two PKs were given up by the Vikings, so the Spartans walked away with the 3-nil victory.

The BRHS Viking soccer team represented so well this season, and they don't lose any seniors, so this team will be even stronger next season. We look forward to seeing their continued growth and success. Thanks for a great soccer season, Vikings!
