Water is currently scarce along the Uwharrie Trail, but if you're headed up Little Long Mountain you can rest easy. Even during the driest times Merritt's Spring usually always provides year round. If you're headed southbound it's the blue blaze off you the left right before you head up the mountain. You're welcome and be safe out there!

High Rock Lake residents and boaters—here’s an important lake-level update!

According to Cube Carolinas’ September 28 notice, a planned drawdown begins October 1 for maintenance at High Rock Dam.

The lake will gradually drop to approximately 8 feet below full pond and remain near that level through at least November 20. Refilling may begin as early as the last week of November and continue into December.

The schedule depends on rainfall and inflow. Keep these changing water levels in mind when planning lake activities, and share this update with your lake neighbors!
