Initial thoughts- ‘sh*t I’m gunna have to rush my work’
Second thought- ‘Some extra 1-1 time with my boy- let’s have fun’
There’s always 2 (or more) ways to view a situation.
The choices you make, change the quality of your life.
Choose well 🫶🏻

wait for it…. It’s never peaceful for long 🫠😅
will it ever be peaceful again? Who knows 😂
Reposting this after a nursery pick up that left me a bit speechless….
I’m not quite days/weeks away yet but in my third pregnancy I am definitely bigger earlier this time round and what my daughters teacher just said to me honestly surprised me 👀
It went like this:
‘My goodness the baby has been growing haven’t they’
(It’s only been a week since I saw her so no, not really….)
‘And you still have a long way to go don’t you!’
(I have about 8 weeks until my due date)
*eyeroll* ‘wow’
🫠
Now, I’m not easily offended about my body or other peoples opinions anymore but it did stop me in my tracks bc I don’t understand how people still think it’s ok to comment on other people’s bodies (that the barely know btw!) in 2026!
Have we not all heard ‘of they can’t change it in 5 seconds or less, don’t mention it!’ ?
Its made me realise how lucky it is that I’ve worked so hard on my body image and confidence over the last 10 years but honestly if this comment had been made in my first pregnancy - I would have cried, a lot, potentially done something dangerous and drastic to my eating/exercise and I certainly would have had severe social anxiety/ went out less and avoided people for the rest of my pregnancy…
Your body changes in ways you can’t control while you’re pregnant and it can be scary - comments like that don’t help- but if you’ve ever had a comment that’s made you question yourself just know this…
You are growing a brand new human and organs inside of you while still carrying on with your normal life!!!
That is fu***ng magical and awe inspiring. 👏🏼
Your body needs to change in order to create that miracle and that’s ok.
It’s nobody else’s business or place to make comments but even if they do, stand tall in knowing that you are a creator of life itself, you are powerful and beautiful in all your shapes and sizes.
Pregnancy is not the place to be stressed about changes you can’t control - it’s a time to be grateful for how incredible and strong your body is and the beautiful baby it’s building for you to love.
Have you ever had a comment like this &Do you have a ‘go to response’ to shut them down? 👀
Last weeks podcast really hit home for so many of my community members - comment ‘RISE’ for the link
bc mums, once you understand this, and get to the core issue -
You shout less
You feel calmer
You feel lighter
Your guilt disappears
& you get a step closer to being the mum you want to be.
Not through force, through alignment.
Deep breaths in the moment aren’t going to do anything if you don’t do any work outside of the moment
It’s just like trying to put a plaster on a gaping wound.
The real reason you react isn’t that you’re not ‘patient’ enough - it’s that your nervous system is overloaded.
And deep breaths won’t even touch the sides when you’re in fight or flight
The work you need to do starts wayyyy before the trigger itself
It starts in the moments you chose to look after yourself a little bit better.
You choose to look into why certain behaviour triggers a stress response in you
& when you actively spend time to regulate outside of a heated moment.
That’s the work that expands your capacity, creates lasting change and actually stops you shouting on autopilot everytime you see a toy left out on the floor.
This is the work I teach the mums in my free community, Mums Who Rise, bc when we learn to regulate ourselves, we can teach our children too.
Comment or DM me ‘RISE’ to get the link and start to break cycles and create lasting changes that even your great grandchildren will feel 👏🏼👏🏼
If you’ve ever tried to do deep breaths and failed or promised you weren’t going to shout, but then something minor happens and you shouted that very same day- i promise, it’s not just you.
I used to feel like there was two people living inside of me…
One, gentle, loving, caring and conscious.
The other, angry, reactive and mean.
No matter how hard I tried to stay as the gentle mum, the angry mum would creep up on me and react on my behalf without me even trying.
As much as I hated the shouting - one of the hardest parts for me, was not understanding why it kept happening even when I wasn’t choosing it
It felt like there was part of me I didn’t even know.
Since becoming a mum 4 years ago I’ve dived deep into personal growth and psychology so I could understand why this kept happening
& it’s not only helped me but I’ve also been able to help other mums, through my 1:1 coaching and community, to not only massively reduce their reactivity but more importantly understand why it was happening in the first place.
If you’re new here - hi, I’m Molly - soon to be mum if 3 under 5 (+ my spaniel ) and I’ve created a free community for mums to learn why they react the way they do in motherhood and more importantly - how to start changing that for good.
In a world where we see the picture perfect mum every time we open our phone - Mums Who Rise is a place to connect with real mums who aren’t perfect but are showing up and doing the work in real time, together.

this is my beef with the ‘just stop shouting’ advice…
It assumes that we are consciously choosing to shout… and not all of us are.
Some of us find ourselves; overloaded, in survival mode, or reacting on autopilot from a place we don’t even understand.
It happens without conscious thought so trying to change it with conscious thought doesn’t work.
If you’ve ever tried just ‘not shouting’ and ‘failed’ just know that it’s not a matter of not being disciplined or thoughtful enough- it’s a case of a nervous system at capacity reacting from memories, feelings and thoughts that exist out of your conscious awareness.
Once we bring awareness to that and learn how to actually regulate and expand our nervous system capacity - the shouting reduces automatically.
Ready to learn how to actually make changes that stick throughout the craziness of motherhood?
