TriCo Equestrian Team

Our Ranch Team had another amazing show at the Heart of Illinois Arena today for the final show of their ranch series! Everyone showed well and had good rides.

Huge milestones were met - the girls worked the gate in trail on both Skippa and Skippy successfully! Anyone who knows those two horses knows how much of an accomplishment that is.

We all finished out the day with a high point award of some level with points accumulated throughout the series.

2️⃣ Mikayla Ouart received Youth 18 & Under Reserve High Point
4️⃣ Brittney Mclean recieved 4th Place Youth 18 & Under High Point
2️⃣ Summer Mlekush recieved Youth 13 & Under Reserve High Point
1️⃣ Lena Skudlarek recieved Open High Point

And Keenan Skudlarek wins best show dad ❤️

Thank you Yvonne Jannie and Jeri Bye for letting the girls use your horses and to their parents for supporting them in all their horsey endeavors.

And thank you so much to Vanessa Bristol and everyone at the Heart of Illinois Arena for putting together such a great series and always hosting super fun shows.

The arena is better suited for kayaking than riding right now with all this rain, so some of our 4Hers focused on other show prep last night.

The Kewanee Kingpins will be showing at Henry County Fair on June 19th!

Some days are for riding. Some days are for planning.

On rainy mornings like this, we trade arena time for lesson plans, rider goals, and a little behind-the-scenes work that helps our students continue to grow.

Even when the weather slows us down, progress doesn't stop... Except to shoo Chester away from my coffee.

Proud is an understatement! Max and Mikayla both rocked their rides today at YEDA Nationals.

Max showed in Sr High Opal Rail and placed 4th in Sr High Opal Pattern Horsemanship

Mikayla had a beautiful rail class in Sr High Emerald Rail.
