So is the 16th Jan going to be odds v evens or old boys day? Asking for a friend 👍
And go
Last minute ground change puts both teams in a spin so game starts at 2pm and
we are playing 30 overs a side. Mick wins the toss and we are having a bat.
After relentless badgering from D***o, Mick moves up the order and it pays off with
the big unit hitting 90 not out with good support from Ruan 19 and David A 26.
The Blues end up 5 for 159 off our 30 overs.
The New ball is given to New Dan and Old Andy and we get off to a good start.
Some good fast fiery bowling from Dan get him 2 Wickets and Andy chimes in with 1.
Ruan and Professor, or should I now say Doc, both chips in with 2 wickets and after
some great fielding we get the job done.
Winner Winner Chicken Dinner!!!!!!!!
Great first win for the year, let hope it becomes a regular occurrence
Honorable Mention
* Mick for hitting more run today then his last 2 season combined
* Dan for getting us off to a great start with the new ball
* The whole team in the field, great effort with only 9 but still taking 6 Catches and a Runout
* Andy for not being a little bitch after rolling his ankle before drinks, went back out
and still chased everything
Dishonorable Mention
* The Emslie family for not planning their Holidays from Sunday to Friday
* Association for changing the ground last minute
* Benny for having kids so he couldn't play
Good luck Legends.
Just a quick update, our Home Ground is now Novocastrian Oval and a few of our opposition teams lost their home grounds so not sure what their new grounds will be yet
Interim Draw has been published and we are in B1. We got screwed with our home ground but what can you do. At this stage Home Ground is Wallarah Oval (Synthetic) (Second ground over across from the footy Stadium)
Our opposition this season is:
* The Journeymen (Pat Jordan Oval)
* The Gardens (Blackley Oval)
* Elliotts Lambton (Lambton Oval)
* Waterboard Bowling Club (Jesmond Park)
* Medowie Cricket Club (Ferodale Oval)
Looks like a tough group of teams so we have our work cut out for us. Bring on the Season!!!!!
From what im reading there has been further politics at play between NCSCA, District and everyone in between so I think there is potential for changes to the Draw and Grounds so we will have to wait and see
Hey Guys, I hope everyone is doing well in these strange times we are currently living in. We had our first hit out last week and the body is just starting not hurt.
There are a few details released regarding the upcoming season. At this stage the First Game will be Saturday 17th October. There will be 6 teams in the comp and we will play each team 4 times (20 Games).
I will need to get rego forms sorted soon so I will send out SMS's to everyone later this week to get this started. I will let you know more details as I find out but let me know if anyone has any questions
Cheers boys for all the memories. Best of luck next season and I will continue to follow the results online.
Regards Dougie

Cricket NSW releases a press release for the Coronavirus. If we get called off, they can far cough 😉
Home game against Cardiff and with a couple of late pull outs we are down to 8 players.
Out come the weather apps with hopes of 43+ degrees so we can get 2 points and go home.
Cain checks his phone, 43 and it feels like it. Check the official weather zone app and its 28.8. WTF.
So game is on but we decide 20 / 20 will be enough. Get Chris late so back to 9 players
Mick Wins the toss and we are batting!!!! (what a legend that Mick bloke is)
Not a great start with Cain securing himself a boxie and Gareth going early for 14. In steps Professor and Benny who dominate the bowlers hitting 41 and 47* respectively. Chris chipped in with a quick 25* and we hit a mammoth 141 of 20 overs
Our bowlers come out firing, turning this T20 into a test match. Dale untouchable with 1 for 4 off his 4 overs
and after great support from D***o and Gareth, Cardiff are 4 for 33 after 10. Cain the Destroyer gets 5 for 21 and Mick chimes to clean up the tale with 3 for 7
Great win with only 9 players on a hot day.
Man of the match was tough, first thoughts were give it to Mick for winning the toss but that was quickly squashed.
3 great performers today with Cain and Professor just missing out to
Man of the Match - Benny
What are the chance Aleem Dar can umpire for us? Reckon I could get 70 wickets
It is with great pleasure that we welcome Gareth to the 100 club.
What a way to bring the milestone up. 92no (equal highest score) a wicket & a direct hit run out.
What a Man of the Match effort.
