Fionnuala Corbett from IRadio was given a six week challenge by Garry her co-host, to sign up to a Ladies Gaelic Football team to learn the basics of Football. Our Gaelic 4 Mothers & Others team were delighted to be asked to get involved. At the end of the six weeks we put Fionnuala through her paces by playing a friendly against our Junior Ladies team!!
Fionnuala captained the team and was presented with the infamous Colander Cup at the end of the game.

Athlone Gaas annual race night takes place on Friday 13th April (an unlucky night for the bookmakers!!!).

Well done to Sheena and Michael who got FOUR YES from the judges on Ireland's got talent last night.

Well we had another fantastic night in the Sheraton with an array of fantastic acts. Great praise to all the performers for putting on a quality show. Thanks to all the Committee who put the whole thing together and all the helpers on the night, also to Niamh for all her hard work (and patience). To our Judges Kevin Boxer Moran, Ray Collins, Mary O'Rourke and Fr. Declan Shannon and to our MC on the night Conor Sketches. Well done to the very deserving winners Jai Ho aka Andy, Daniel and Cathal and once more applause to all the lads and lassies who put on such great performances.... What a great Club. We are very proud of you all.

Our G4M&O team participated in the National Blitz in Portmarnock on Saturday 14th October. It was our 4th year to participate in this blitz,and there was great football and fun on display. The infamous Colander Cup made a welcome return to Athlone GAA and huge congrats to our Ladies for remaining "Winners"!!
