Cycling Comrades: We setout to conquer the mountains (western ghats) and the mountains conquered us!

Route: Someshwara - Agumbe (Western ghats), Karnataka, India.

Riding through thickly forested western ghats mountain range with 14 steep hairpin bends and innumerable curves, descending the mountain seemed much more challenging than the climb. Great start to our Cycling Comrades New Year ride.

Beach exploration: Padubidri beach (Blue Flag certified beach) - Cycling ~50Km

Padubidri beach is a 'Blue Flag' certified beach which makes it one of the cleanest beaches in the world. There are only 8 blue flag certified beaches in India recognized by the international organisation.

Cycle with your heart, literally!
Launching 'Cycling Comrades: Mangaluru edition'. The idea is to have the entire western ghats in Karnataka on our Strava map.
