As coaches we have to listen to what our athletes are telling us, and even what they arenât telling us. This goes beyond the sport! How can we coach them in sports and life. They will give us the cues we need in order to help them, we just have to listen!

đ¨ MARICOPA ELITE TRACK IS LOOKING FOR A FEW MORE ATHLETES đ¨
We have a few spots left before Junior Olympics (June 13â14) and are holding a small round of tryouts. Maricopa Elite is a select competitive track club in Maricopa focused on developing local athletes and building a strong pipeline for our city. Current openings: đĽ 9â10 Boys đĽ 11â12 Boys (relay squad â need speed) đĽ Girls 15â16. Track experience isnât required â speed, competitiveness, coachability, and an athletic background matter most. If your athlete plays another sport and can MOVE, we want to see them. Message me, text 314.224.0806, or email [email protected] if interested. đđžđĽ
Iâve watched this young woman sacrifice, fight through pressure, and still choose greatness every single day. Coaching her has been an honor. She didnât just win a Long Jump title⌠she showed Arizona what happens when talent meets work ethic, belief, and heart.
Maricopa got a STATE CHAMPION. And weâre just getting started. â¤ď¸đ¤
Grief donât clock out⌠it just shows up in different rounds.
This wasnât just battle rap â this was therapy on a stage. Real pain. Real loss. Real truth.

Doing what I Love!
05/02/2026
Once again, if you remember my Instagram post from previous years, today I had my kids playing in the sand. I coached triple jump and long jump, but a lot of people always ask me, âWhy do you do this?â
I do it because life gets heavy. And as my young athletes get older, theyâre not going to run out of problems. Theyâre not going to run out of stress, pressure, or expectations. That part of life is guaranteed.
But when was the last time we just played in the sand?
When was the last time we were able to just be young⌠to laugh, to be free, to do something as simple as making sandcastles with friends?
For some of these kids, that moment doesnât come often.
Some have never experienced it.
Some have only dreamed of it.
Some come from communities where they may never see a beach or sand at all.
So I create the moment for them.
I want them to understand that life will get hardâbut donât ever stop finding joy. Donât stop doing the small, enjoyable things. Donât take for granted the little moments, because those are the ones we miss the most when theyâre gone.
I love my kids.
I love coaching.
And I love life.
So live. Love. And have fun.
