ReLive: Acornhoek Annual Easter Tournament. Best moments.

It is with great disappointment that we unfortunately announce the immediate postponement of what was supposed to be the 5th edition of the much anticipated Acornhoek Easter Tournament, 2019. This follows the unsuccessful prolonged interventions with the responsible authorities to prepare the alternative venue to the standard acceptable to host the much surpoted event, following the construction taking place at the hosting sport field. We would like to sincerly apologize to all our sponsors, the teams, media, community leaders/structures, Timbavati Football Association and lovely supporters of the beautiful game. We can only promise a master class delivery of the next edition. We wish you all a joyous and religious Easter holidays.

With the dark cloud hanging over our community this week leading to the much anticipated event on the 29 September, it is fitting to scale down on the plans of the event as a sign of respect to the whole community and affected families. May their good souls rests in eternal peace. The kits presentation to both teams, Dynamos FC and Brazil FC will therefore be held privately at the same venue. Further details will be communicated with the representatives of the teams. Hopefully this inconvenience is understood.

The soccer kits presentation for the winners (Dynamos FC) of the 2018 Acornhoek Annual Easter Tournament and the runners up (Brazil FC) will be held on the 29 September 2018 at Sihlekisi Primary School. Further details will be communicated to the representatives of the teams and special guests. Once again, congratulations are in order for the winners of the 4th annual Easter tournament.

The gala dinner, in which the winners of the 4th Acornhoek Easter Tournament will further receive their awards, will be hosted in September 2018. The date will be announced as soon as all logistical requirements are settled. Looking forward to the closing event of the tournament.

UPDATE: The much anticipated local derby delivered a good football with all moments one could expect in a derby. Two goals from Faso' Stecker (Afel), one red and four yellows completed a derby, and sent Bakina Faso FC to the semis with current champions bowing out respectfully. Faso is joined by Dynamos FC, Brazil FC and Pole United FC. Who will take this one?

Congratulations to all teams that made it to the quarter finals. The current champions have not managed to avoid their old rivalry, Bakina Faso, setting up what will be a game of the tournament tomorrow (31-03-2018) at 15:30. The draw saw another local rivals pitted against each other in Pole United FC and Brasil FC. The entire draw went as follows:
Brazil FC vs Happy Dam FC @ 09:30
Dynamos FC vs Eleven Genius FC @ 11:30
Brasil FC (msg) vs Pole United FC @ 13:30
Bakina Faso FC vs Kloof FC @ 15:30.

Both the champions, Kloof FC and runners up for last year, Happy Dam FC have made it to the quarter finals after defeating Masokolara FC and Power Chiefs FC respectively. They were joined by the returnees Dynamos FC, and the ever promising young team from Welvirdiend, Eleven Genius FC. The official outcomes were as follows: Eleven Genius FC 1 (4) - Screamer FC 1 (2). All Blacks FC 0 - Dynamos FC 2. Happy Dam FC 3 - Power Chiefs FC 0. Kloof FC 1 (3 ) - Masokolara FC 1 (2). Who will join them? Come witness by yourself tomorrow.
