Sixers Volleyball Club

Another year of USSA in Cape Town. The team competed with determination and made their mark at the tournament. Fezeka Senzela from the ladies’ team was honored with the individual award for Best Libero of the USSA2025 volleyball tournament🏐💛.

The Sixers had three players selected for the USSA national team:
Chuma Madiloyi ( #8) from the men’s team
Anele Mantongwana ( #8) from the women’s team
And the award-winning Fezeka Senzela( #7).

It feels incredible to share the court with the greats. None of this would have been possible without everyone’s support throughout the tournament.

Introducing the 2024 USSA UFH Sixers Volleyball Squad:
Meet our talented ladies and gentlemen who will be representing us at the USSA 2024 tournament in Polokwane, Limpopo from July 1st to July 5th.

The University of Fort Hare Sixers Volleyball Team showcased their prowess at USSA BEACH VOLLEYBALL 2023, with three teams for both ladies and gentlemen. Five out of the six teams delivered exceptional performances, securing spots in the round of 16. Unfortunately, two teams fell short before the Quarterfinals. The Quarterfinal journey for the remaining three teams was halted by formidable opponents – Tshwane University of Technology (TUT), Vaal University of Technology (VUT), and University of Limpopo (UL). This marked a historic achievement for the Sixers, boasting five teams in the round of 16 and three teams in the Quarterfinals for the first time in USSA Beach history.

This team continues to set records and emerge victorious.

Thank you to Volkswagen volleyball club for inviting us to the incredible 10-year celebration of their team. It was an absolute delight to share in the joy and success of such a milestone. Here's to another decade of achievements and memorable milestones for your fantastic team.

Our players in both female and male section played some exceptional volleyball at USSA that was hosted in Limpopo, Polokwane, Ramathlodi Sport Complex in Seshego from 03 July to 07 July. Unfortunately the ladies side couldn’t advance to the knockout rounds.

In the finals against Vaal University of Technology (VUT), our gentlemen experienced their first USSA 2023 defeat as they coming back with a second position and a silver medal🥈.

The UFH SIXERS traveled to Gqeberha over the past weekend to compete in the Nelson Mandela University Annual Tournament.
Sadly, our Ladies did not qualify to advance to the knockout rounds.

Our Gentlemen completed a spectacular comeback to defeat VW volleyball club in the Nelson Mandela University Annual Tournament Finals after falling behind by 2:0 sets and crowned as the Champions of the tournament.
Sixers Gentlemen also won particular recognition.
