The past two weekends of hosting were bigger than rugby.
A special word of appreciation to our club captain and head coach for taking the time to stand in front of our juniors, not as figures above them, but as leaders beside them.
In a game where results often take centre stage, moments like these remind us what truly builds a strong club; presence, guidance and genuine investment in the next generation. Leadership is not only measured in match day decisions, but in the willingness to pour into those who are still learning, still growing, still finding their way.
To our juniors, understand the value of this. You are not being overlooked, you are being built. Every conversation, every correction, every word of encouragement is part of something greater than today’s training session. It is the shaping of character, culture and pride in the jersey you wear.
To our club captain and head coach, thank you for setting that standard. Your time, your energy, and belief in these players do not go unnoticed. You are strengthening more than skills, you are strengthening the future of our club.

We’re gearing up for a massive year of growth, development and Toti pride, and our pre‑season program is where it all starts.
All age groups from U12 to U18 are invited to join us as we build fitness, sharpen skills and prepare for an exciting season ahead.
Pre‑season practices will run from the 5th of June 2026, giving every young player the perfect opportunity to train hard, learn, and connect with their teammates.
If your child is passionate about rugby, hungry to improve, or ready to take the next step in their rugby journey, this is the place to be.
Let’s put in the work now so we can rise together later.

There is a special kind of magic that only a minis rugby day can produce.
This past Sunday, the spirit of the game was truly alive at our grounds as we proudly hosted our very first minis tournament of the year.
The morning began with the infectious energy of our young players, their eyes wide with excitement as they took to the field. Seeing our Toti minis in their kit, ready to run, pass, and play, served as a powerful reminder of why we do what we do. From the very first whistle to the final ho**er, the day was defined by bravery, sportsmanship, and the kind of pure joy that only happens when kids are having the time of their lives.
A day like this is a massive team effort, and it simply wouldn't have been possible without our dedicated rugby tribe. A heartfelt thank you to our coaches and managers for your patience and guidance; to our medics for keeping everyone safe; and to our referees for ensuring a fair and fun game.
A special shout-out to our youngsters from the Colts—your help on and off the field was invaluable and the kids looked up to you every step of the way!
We were also so proud to see our Seniors showing up; having you there to support our little stars made the day extra special.
Finally, a massive thank you to Maureen, Netisha Koekemoer, and Jess van Zyl for capturing the magic—the photos are absolutely amazing and have perfectly preserved these memories for our families.

The countdown is over! Amanzimtoti Youth Rugby Club is absolutely thrilled to host our Minis Hosting Day tomorrow, Sunday, 31st May 2026.
We are ready to welcome all our incredible players, passionate parents, dedicated coaches, and visiting clubs to the beautiful Hutchison Park for a memorable day focused on community, skills growth, and the pure joy of the game. As our Chairman Dirk Smit perfectly notes, "Today is not about the scoreboard. It is about giving our children the opportunity to enjoy their rugby and build lifelong friendships."

Action-Packed Schedule: Games kick off bright and early from 07:30 across fields U7, U8, U9, and U11. Check out the images above to spot exactly when and where your team plays!
Parking Details: On-site parking is available. Cash parking is R20 and card parking is R25.
📍 Venue & Directions
Location: Amanzimtoti Rugby Club (Hutchison Park / 1 Riverside Road).
Quick Route: Take Exit 138 (Adams Road Off-Ramp) from the N2 (Northbound or Southbound), turn onto Adams Road, head right onto Andrew Zondo Road/Kingsway, and turn right into Hutchison Road. Follow the signs past the tennis/bowling clubs straight to the main parking area!
🍔 Food, Beverages & Facilities
Fuel Up: This is a major fundraising day for our club! The Crossbar Clubhouse will be wide open with their full menu, alongside a fantastic selection of local food vendors to keep the family going all day long.
Get Comfortable: Bring along your sunscreen, camp chairs, and gazebos. Ample gazebo space is available right around the playing fields.
Ablutions: Available at the top field, inside Crossbar, and over at Lords & Legends.
Safety First: Rest assured, Event Medical will be fully on-site with six medics across both fields, plus ambulances on standby.

🚫 NO cooler boxes and NO glass or alcohol are permitted on the fields.
