It's been a while.

I will admit, first and foremost.

A lot needed to change, not just the way I make and market my lures, but most importantly, how I conduct my business.

As a Business owner and small time bait maker, well let's be real, it's more of a hobby than anything else.

I have made my fair share of and let me be blunt, simple f**k ups and shortfalls purely due to negligence and a lack of drive to carry on making lures.

Codename - RIBBLER

This is by far the fattest 4" bait I've thrown in the salt, if you're confident enough, you could fit a variety of jigheads on this bait and also it has slits for rigging weedless.

The tail action when it's moving is subtle with just enough kick to trigger a bite, just the way I like it.

I am beyond impressed with this funky thing, I've been actively targeting Kob with it, this morning I was humbled twice and dropped 2 decent fish, the shore break in my usual fishing areas was not favorable at all...

Not long after the bite went off and on my way home there was a little gulley that was slightly sheltered from the angry surf and I thought well if there isn't a Kob in this one there should be something...

I have never seen Surge Wrasse attack such a fat softplastic with such aggression before and I was fishing with a 1/4oz Jighead, I generally use lighter and a slimmer profile softplasticb when targeting them however as mentioned, conditions were rough...strong wash, lots of white water, sand kicking up here and there with clean fishable patches if you knew where to look.

I needed a little more weight just to get the lure down to the bite zone fast enough and keep it there long enough to produce the goods.

Surge Wrasse on Topwater and yes it happens more often than you'd believe.

For a fish that's rarely seen swimming in the midwater column they are infact aggressive enough that with the right pattern they are like moths to a flame

Maybe it's time to bring back one of the deadliest topwater ULF baits I've made to date...

Bag limit secured this morning.

There's been some fat shad coming out, lots of smalls as well.

The fish I caught this morning were caught using a 90mm stickbait I've been fine tuning, it's passed all the tests with flying colors with a weight of roughly 21grams.

I will price them once I have stock ready to ship out.

If you're spinning with a 8-11ft setup with braid of 15-20lb and balanced size reel for your rod you'd be amazed at how far this little thing can go...

This month is a big month for me.

New Shapes,New Molds, New Paint, New Everything....

The entire workspace will be revamped.

Large scale molds are being designed and will be made early next month along with compared to my small operation a "industrial" size lure turner and clear coating station.

That is what takes up the most time.

Old School Onda, revamped, rebuilt, altered, bastardized, whatever you want to call it.

I set out to build myself a few that are "similar" to the original with 1 key difference...

The Action.

It is stable, does not tumble and has a nice side to side wobble and a stunning shimmer when it falls, just the way I like my single hook stickbait action, it swims like the KB110.

In time I will purchase a go pro again and make some lovely underwater footage of how my baits swim !

I do not enjoy lures that "tumble" like a Mepps spinner when retrieved, especially at a slow to medium retrieve with light twitches a lure should be stable and only become eradic at a high speed.

It's not like every fisherman out there fishes like someone who just been given a Adrenaline Shot and are frantically burning the lure back like a maniac after casting.

You not need to fish with a crazy fast retrieve to entice a bite from a fish...
