Day 1 | Run for Rangers

50 km. One day. Countless reasons to keep going.

Our day began long before sunrise, setting off in freezing winter conditions as we crossed the White iMfolozi River with only the first light of dawn to guide us. As the morning unfolded, the bush warmed around us, and a well-earned bush lunch gave us the fuel to tackle the kilometres still ahead.

We’re not at the finish line yet—but every step is a reminder of why we’re here.

We’re running for the dedicated rangers who protect our wildlife and wild places every day, no matter the conditions. Through icy mornings, blazing afternoons, rugged terrain and long hours, they keep showing up for nature.

As we continue to push forward, we’d love to have you with us. Your encouragement, your support, and your donations help ensure that rangers receive the recognition and resources they deserve.

The journey continues… one step at a time, for those who never stop protecting our natural world.
