Barberton Paragliding Open

The Barberton Paragliding Open(BPO) has become an institution of free flying in South Africa. The event has been taking place annually since the 1990's.

The winter competition takes place in June every year in the historic mining village of Barberton.

👏 Huge congratulations to the champions: French Team (Nations winners), and Baptiste Lambert & Constance Mettetal as overall winners.

We’re proud of the progress made and already looking ahead to Serbia 2027, aiming to bring a full team of four pilots — including female representation — to the Worlds.
