GERMANY BANS LIVE EXPORT

Currently, Germany has a ban placed against the export of live animals for the purpose of slaughter anywhere outside the European Union. Germany has today placed even further restrictions on the export of live animals. From July 2023, the export of live animals from Germany to any country outside the EU for the purpose of breeding will be prohibited.

The historic decision taken by Germany today will save thousands of animals from suffering in the live export industry.

The NSPCA celebrates this victory for the animals in Germany, and we continue to dedicate our time and efffort to one day securing the same victory for our animals in South Africa.
