: Observe & Listen More

One of the key ways to learn and grow as a coach is to observe what other coaches are doing. I know you do observe other coaches, but I mean observe to learn, not to criticize.

This is difficult because it requires the ego and pride to be put aside. And in my experience of interacting with many coaches, I can tell you now: Ego and pride are holding back a lot of coaches from learning.

Interact with any coach, I can bet with my last penny, nine out of ten, you will find coaches who speak more than they listen. Be different. Listen more. There's a reason you have two ears and one mouth.
