๐Ÿšจ 3 DAYS TO GO!

On Monday, 21 September, the 30-Day Fitness & Lifestyle Challenge begins.

If you've been saying:

"I'll start next week."
"I'll start when things calm down."
"I'll start closer to summer."

This is your sign.

You don't need to be perfect.

You just need to start.

๐Ÿ’ช Move more.
๐Ÿ’ช Get stronger.
๐Ÿฅ— Eat better.
โ˜€๏ธ Build habits that last.

๐Ÿ“ฉ DM me today to RSVP.

Training isn't only about what happens in the gym.

How you move.
What you eat.
How much water you drink.
How well you recover.
How much you sleep.

They all contribute to the bigger picture.

As a Trainer and Coach, I look at the whole person, not just the workout.

That's also why my upcoming 30-Day Challenge includes fitness and lifestyle habits.

โ˜€๏ธ Get Summer Body Ready through manageable changes.

One of the biggest mistakes people make when trying to get fitter?

Doing too much, too soon.

Then life gets busy, motivation drops and the plan disappears.

Sustainable progress comes from creating habits you can actually maintain.

That's why my 30-Day Challenge focuses on manageable daily actions rather than trying to overhaul your entire lifestyle overnight.

Small changes can become big changes when you keep showing up.

You don't need to completely change your life to change your body.

You need to start making small changes consistently.

That's one of the principles behind my upcoming 30-Day Fitness & Lifestyle Challenge.

Over 30 days we'll focus on manageable daily actions around:

๐Ÿ‹๏ธ Fitness
๐Ÿฅ— Nutrition
๐Ÿ’ง Hydration
๐Ÿ˜ด Sleep
๐Ÿง˜ Recovery
๐Ÿšถ Movement
๐Ÿง  Lifestyle habits

No extreme makeover.

Just 30 opportunities to make a better choice.

Starting 21 September.

๐Ÿ“ฉ DM me to RSVP and join the challenge.

OPINION PIECE WRITTEN BY RAYMOND RAUTENBACH IN HIS CAPACITY AS PERSONAL TRAINER AND COACH

WHAT HAPPENS TO YOUR STOMACH WHEN YOU PUSH YOUR BODY TO THE LIMIT? ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿ’ฉ

The recent incident where an athlete unfortunately had a bowel accident during the race has created plenty of discussion online, but instead of laughing at the athlete, I think there is actually a really important lesson here for anyone who trains or competes at a high intensity.

Your gut is affected by extreme exercise.

When you push your body hard, especially during a , marathon, triathlon or intense endurance event, your body redirects blood flow towards the muscles, heart and lungs that are working overtime.

Your digestive system gets less blood flow.

At the same time, youโ€™re dealing with:

๐Ÿ”ฅ Extremely high intensity
๐Ÿ˜ฐ Adrenaline and race-day nerves
๐Ÿ’ง Changes in hydration
โ˜• Caffeine or pre-workout
๐Ÿ Food sitting in the stomach
๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ Repeated running and impact
โšก Your bodyโ€™s stress response

Put all of that together and your digestive system can essentially say: โ€œI canโ€™t deal with this right now!โ€ ๐Ÿ˜‚ This is one reason what you eat before a race is so important.

You donโ€™t want to arrive at the start line with a stomach full of food that is difficult to digest.

Generally, athletes do better with foods they have already tested in training โ€” often a familiar, carbohydrate-focused meal that is relatively easy to digest, with enough time for the stomach to empty before racing, and this is crucial:

DONโ€™T EXPERIMENT ON RACE DAY.
That new energy drink?
That massive pre-race breakfast?
That supplement youโ€™ve never tried?
That โ€œmiracleโ€ nutrition someone recommended?

Test it in training first.

Your gut can actually be trained just like your muscles can. Athletes need to practise not only their physical performance, but also their race-day nutrition and hydration strategy, and sometimes, despite doing everything right, when you push the human body to its absolute limits . . .

Your body simply takes over. ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿ˜‚

So rather than judging the athlete, maybe we should see it as a reminder:

High isnโ€™t just about how hard you can push your muscles โ€” itโ€™s also about understanding how your entire body responds under extreme stress.

โ˜€๏ธ Summer doesn't start in December. Your preparation shouldn't either.

If getting fitter, stronger and healthier is on your list before the summer and December holidays, the best time to start is now.

You don't need to change everything overnight.

You need to start making manageable changes consistently.

Move more.
Get stronger.
Eat better.
Build habits that last.

That's exactly the thinking behind my upcoming 30-Day Fitness & Lifestyle Challenge, starting 21 September.

๐ŸŒฟ Sunday reminder: You don't have to earn your rest.

Training is important, but recovery is part of training too.

Your body needs time to adapt to the work you're asking it to do.

So today, take a breath.

Get some rest.
Hydrate.
Eat well.
Get some sleep.
Move gently if you feel like it.

Then get ready for another week, because building your Summer body isn't about one perfect workout.

It's about what you do week after week after week.

Consistency beats intensity when intensity isn't sustainable.

Enjoy your Sunday. See you in the gym! ๐Ÿ’ช

โ˜€๏ธ Summer isn't just about how you look.

Imagine reaching December feeling:

๐Ÿ’ช Stronger
๐Ÿƒ Fitter
โšก More energetic
๐Ÿง˜ More mobile
๐Ÿ˜Š More confident

That's a far better goal than simply chasing a number on the scale, and here's the good news: You don't have to wait until January to start working towards it.

You don't even have to wait until Summer.

You can start today.

Small improvements repeated consistently can make a big difference over time.

๐Ÿ‡ Horse riders need more than strong legs.

Riding may look effortless from the outside, but the rider's body is constantly working.

Balance.
Core stability.
Mobility.
Strength.
Coordination.
Postural control.

That's why rider-specific conditioning can be so valuable.

The goal isn't to interfere with the rider's technique.

It's to help develop the physical foundation that supports it.

I've always believed that training should have a purpose beyond simply completing an exercise.

Train for what you actually want your body to do.
