XTERRA South Africa is wrapping up.

After a good run, we've made the decision not to continue XTERRA South Africa.

It's been a lot of fun. Great courses, beautiful parts of the country, and a community that showed up rain or shine and always seemed to enjoy the muddy bits most. Plenty of good races, plenty of good stories.

Thank you to every athlete who raced with us, and to the volunteers, marshals, medics, landowners, sponsors and partners who made it possible. You were the best part of it.

Entries: All refunds have been processed. If yours hasn't reflected, mail us and we'll sort it out.

The 21st edition is officially live. Saturday 27 February 2027, back on the iconic Grabouw trails at Eikenhof Dam — just an hour from Cape Town, and once again part of the XTERRA World Tour with 26 World Champs slots (plus 30 Youth) up for grabs.
Full, Sprint, Super Sprint and the Kids race — there's a distance for every level.
And new for 2027: OPEN-WATER SWIMMING. For the first time in 21 years, you don't need a bike to be part of XTERRA. Three open-water swim races at Eikenhof Dam:
3km Open Water Swim — R550 early bird

1.5km Open Water Swim — R350 early bird

750m Open Water Swim — R250 early bird
Lifeguards on the water, wetsuit-friendly under TSA rules, every level welcome.

27–28 February 2027. Elgin Grabouw. Cape Town in late summer, when the light's gold and the dam water is exactly the wrong temperature ;)

Conrad Stoltz is back with the best route design in off road triathlon. The course is being sharpened. As Stop #1 of the XTERRA World Tour, qualifying slots for the World Championship will be on the line right here in the Western Cape.
