Pedal Power Association Stay Wider of the Rider As we are nearing the festive season, crime is escalating in Cape Town and surrounds along well known hot spot areas.

This morning two perpetrators one with a knife were threatening cyclists along the Woodstock bridge on the main road side, law enforcement was notified.

Yesterday another cyclist was robbed of his bike and phone along the R44 in the Cloetesville area. If you see this bike in the area please notify SAPS. The case was reported to them.

Please refrain from cycling alone and if in groups, stay vigilant.

Pedal Power Association Stay Wider of the Rider The Kayamandi/Cloetesville area has been identified as a very high risk area for cycling. Please refrain from cycling in this area until measures are in place to combat the high level of crime that has been reported to us.

There were two separate incidents today, the first around midday and the second around 12h45. The first cyclist was attacked along the R304 close to Kayamandi and the second in the vicinity of the Cloetesville Community Park South. Both cyclists were attacked by two young men with bricks. They were both robbed of their bikes.
