All Rounder Indoor Netball League

We hope you’re all well and surviving the cold!

Just a quick update from our side: due to cricket taking priority at the Indoor Centre over the next few weeks, after tonight, netball sessions will be paused until the end of August.

We truly appreciate your support and understanding. We’ll be in touch closer to the time to confirm a restart date, but we are provisionally looking at Wednesday, 10 September.

Thanks again for being part of our netball community – we can’t wait to have you all back on court soon!

Fred’s a good sport: Netball star ploughing back into his community A male netball star from Lavender Hill, who fulfilled his dream of representing South Africa at international level, is now on a mission to give back to his community.

Haaaave you met Fred?

Fred, who gives us his time, energy (and patience) every Wednesday at indoor social netball is finally giving us the opportunity to give back!

The talented 26 year old from Lavender Hill has been selected to compete in the SA Males National Championship in Rustenburg at the end of this month. However, we need funds in order to get Fred there - R8000 to be exact. We are asking our ARA netball community to give a big thank you to Fred for all he does for us by making a small (R50 or R100) contribution to his fund. The eft details can be found in the last slide.

Fred plays Goal Attack (GA) or Wing Attack (WA). He loves GA the most as he gets to shoot goals. He says his accuracy rate, from anywhere in the circle, often facing the toughest defense players, is 90% BUT his accuracy rate in the last quarter when the pressure is on is 100% 🔥🔥🔥

Fred's message to everyone he crosses paths with: Whether you are a child or an adult, do what YOU love! If you love sport, enjoy your sport. It can never be taken away from you. Your sport will help you to cope with life. Life is hard darling, but so are you! Always give back, whether it is your time, your energy, or your experience. Always lift other up You don't know what struggle somebody is going through, be kind.

Firstly, a very big thank you to those who have supported so far!! 2 months to go till Action Netball Interprovincials in JHB and these girls (and their team) have been working very hard!!

WATCH | J'Bay netball club wins world record title after playing 75-hour match | News24 G-Force Netball Club based in Jeffreys Bay broke the world record for the longest netball match played when they played a total of 75 hours at the Victory Christian School, Jeffreys Bay from October 6-9.

ALL ROUNDER NETBALL STARS ARE SHINING 🌟

We are incredibly proud of two All Rounder netball players, Kungawo and Jessica, who have been selected for U13B Western Cape Coastal team for 2023.

After late nights and long weekends of indoor trials at the Montague arena, the girls have been selected to travel to Johannesburg in March to play at the annual Inter Provincial Tournament against other provincial teams.

We are beyond proud of these two and look forward to following their journey! Keep up the good work!
