These are the South African and Dutch participants of the recent International Kushido Gashuku in Hoedspruit. We took a walk up the mountain one morning.

Tai Chi is a martial art (similar to Karate or Kung Fu) where every movement has meaning and purpose. The movements are just slowed down to the point where you learn about yourself first, then you learn about the opponent.

Classes in Hout Bay have started again and we have hit the floor with a passion! You can tell by the groan of straining muscles from all the festive season excess that we indulge ourselves in. Even from a couple of weeks away from training, we lose fitness and tone, reflex and speed. The harder we push to get it back, the quicker we do.

We haven't had a lot of traffic on this page, but that is not due to lack of events in the lives of the students. I have duly chastised myself and will endeavor to update more often. Next upcoming event is the Weapons course at Honbu dojo. This is for adults and is on the 16th of October. The following week (23rd) is the grading for seniors.
