🇿🇦 Day 12 of posting until Minister Gayton Mckenzie sees us.
Meet Natasha.

Natasha has represented South Africa in Tag Rugby® and contact rugby as a Springbok.

She has been to the 2023 Tag World Cup and comes back every time more committed to the sport and to the country.

This World Cup might be her last chance as a player to pull on the green jersey at the highest level. She is going, whatever it takes.

Minister Gayton McKenzie, this is a great example of our loyalty to South African sport. 🇿🇦💚

🇿🇦 Day 11 of posting until Minister Gayton Mckenzie sees us.
Tag Rugby® isn't just a sport. It's a community programme.

The Tag Rugby® Association runs Tag Rugby® programmes in schools and after-school programmes across the country. We work in underprivileged communities. We hire local coaches. We give young people a safe space, a team, and something to work towards.

The national teams heading to Coffs Harbour are the visible face of that work. But the real impact is in the communities behind them.

Minister, this is exactly the kind of sport development your department exists to support. 🙏🇿🇦

🇿🇦 Day 10 of posting until Minister Gayton Mckenzie sees us.

Day 10. Let's be specific 💚

We're not asking for the world. We're asking for help getting 46 South Africans to the other side of it.

Government support for our World Cup campaign would mean:
• Flights become possible for players who can't afford them
• Accommodation, kit and visa costs are covered
• Our teams can focus on performing, not fundraising
• South Africa shows up at the World Cup properly resourced.

Minister McKenzie, this is a concrete, achievable ask. We're ready to have that conversation whenever you are. 🙏🇿🇦

🇿🇦 Day 9 of posting until Minister Gayton Mckenzie sees us.
🌟 Meet Kyle.

Kyle has been part of the South African Tag Rugby® community for 11 years. He has recently returned after a year long recovery from a knee injury.

This will be his third time representing South Africa at a World Cup. Every cap means everything.

We're still waiting to hear from Minister Gayton McKenzie. But Kyle is training regardless. 🇿🇦💚

🇿🇦 Day 8 of posting until Minister Gayton Mckenzie sees us.

Behind every great team is a great coaching staff.

Our coaches have given countless hours, all unpaid, to develop Tag Rugby®️ in South Africa and prepare our national teams for the World Cup. They're not just coaches. They're builders of the sport.

This October they travel to Coffs Harbour alongside the players.

Minister Gayton McKenzie, these are the people who make South African sport great at grassroots level. They deserve to be seen. 🇿🇦

🇿🇦 Day 7 of posting until Minister Gayton Mckenzie sees us.

7 days. 7 posts. Still proud.

This week we introduced you to our campaign, our sport, and some of the incredible people who make up South Africa's national Tag Rugby® teams.

We're not here to embarrass anyone. We're here because 46 South Africans deserve the chance to represent their country at a World Cup - and we believe Minister Gayton McKenzie can help make that happen.

Week 2 starts tomorrow. We're not going anywhere. 💚

23/05/2026

🇿🇦 Day 6 of posting until Minister Gayton Mckenzie sees us.
🌟 Meet Alzano.

Alzano grew up in Eerste River and found Tag Rugby® through his friends. The sport gave him structure, community, and a goal worth chasing.

This October, he will represent South Africa at the World Cup in Australia. That journey, from Eerste River to Coffs Harbour, is exactly what sport is supposed to do.

Minister Gayton McKenzie, this is the story of South African sport. We'd love to tell you more. 🙏

🇿🇦 Day 5 of posting until Minister Gayton Mckenzie sees us.
🌏 This October, the world comes to Coffs Harbour.

The Tag World Cup brings together nations from across the globe to compete at the highest level of the game. And South Africa will be there, flying the flag, wearing the green, representing every community this sport touches back home.

This is what it means to say . It means showing up on the world stage and making South Africa proud.

We're still waiting to hear from Minister Gayton McKenzie. But we're going regardless, because that's what South Africans do. 🇿🇦💚

21/05/2026

🇿🇦 Day 4 of posting until Minister Gayton Mckenzie sees us.

Let's talk numbers 📊

👥 46 - South Africans in our World Cup delegation
🏉 2 - National teams competing
✈️ 1 - Destination: Coffs Harbour, Australia
📅 October 2026, the deadline is fast approaching
💰 0 - Government funding received for the Tag World Cup 2026 to date

These are real people with real costs. Flights, accommodation, kit, transport. Every rand is being raised by the players, their families, and our sponsors.

We are asking Minister Gayton McKenzie to change that last number. 🙏🇿🇦
