I was able to lose body fat and build lean muscle at the same time by focusing on three things:
1. Progressive overload with free weight exercises (barbells, dumbbells, glute band and ankle weights).
2. Optimized protein intake to support muscle growth and recovery (enough per meal, not just per day).
3. Fat loss — cutting fat without crashing my metabolism or losing muscle mass.
This is the same method I now coach my clients (online or face-to-face) through:
- You don't need endless hours of cardio.
- You don't need a huge gym with fancy machines.
- You can transform your body, your metabolism, and your strength at any age.

Over the last year, my weight loss and body recomposition weren’t from restrictive diets or spending hours in the gym 7 days a week. It was simply about being consistent 80% of the time, while still enjoying my favourite meals and living a balanced lifestyle.

A breakfast idea that is around 300 calories and high in protein: 🍳Scrambled Egg Whites with Spinach and Low-fat Feta.
Ingredients:
- 4 egg whites (68 calories)
- 50g spinach (12 calories)
- 30g low-fat feta (40 calories)
- 1 tsp olive oil (40 calories)
- 1 slice whole-grain toast (100 calories)
Total: ~260 calories with ~22g protein.

For people who have always struggled with carrying their weight in their stomach area, like me...
I improved my abs by sticking to three key principles: - A slight calorie deficit,
- Progressive overload,
- Consistency.
By carefully reducing my calorie intake without extreme dieting, I was able to burn fat while maintaining muscle.
In the gym, I focused on progressively increasing the weight and intensity of my ab exercises, ensuring continuous muscle growth and definition.
Most importantly, I stayed consistent—tracking my progress, and adjusting my routine when needed.

Fat Loss & Muscle Definition: The Key to a Lean Look
In 2023 I had already lost a lot of weight, but there is a big difference between then and now and this is why:
Consistently lifting weights and eating in a calorie deficit is your path to burning fat and revealing those muscles you've been working hard on.
Remember, fat sits between your muscles and your skin, so as you lose fat, the definition starts to show through. This process is what we call becoming "lean" or "toned."
The secret? Lowering your body fat percentage to uncover that muscle. Stay dedicated, stay consistent, and watch your hard work pay off.
