A new trophy, a replica of the HMS Victory, presented to the RCYC Sailing Academy student who best exemplifies the spirit of Ubuntu—demonstrating respect, support, and collective strength throughout the campaign.
This year, the award went to Yobanathi Klaas, who, in her role as reserve crew, selflessly dedicated herself to the success of the team. She supported tirelessly right up until the moment the boat left the dock, embodying true team spirit.

The Neptune Cup is awarded to those who show exceptional resilience at sea - and this year it goes to Alexforbes Angel Wings.

After breaking their boom mid-race, the team refused to give up. Instead, they pushed on with determination and grit, ultimately going on to win the Cape2Rio Race without a boom, an extraordinary achievement.

The Amsterdam Sauer Trophy, donated in 1993 in collaboration with the Iate Clube do Rio de Janeiro, was proudly awarded as the Seamanship Award to Theodora Oliviera do Prado.
