Michael delivered a consistent performance during Round 5 of the South African Touring Cars Championship at Aldo Scribante Racetrack.

Starting sixth in Race 1, the Toyota Gazoo Racing South Africa driver moved forward to claim fourth. He then lined up on the front row for Race 2 before crossing the line fourth once again.

Although the podium remained just out of reach, Michael collected valuable championship points as the team continues working towards its breakthrough victory of the season.

It was truly a battle out there today. While not quite on the pace of the front-runners, Michael drew on all his experience in an attempt to fend off his challengers. A gritty fourth place in Race 1 and an impressive second in Race 2* brought the curtain down on Round 4 of the championship.

Michael and the team finished today's practice, having made progress but still finding themselves off the pace of the frontrunners. On a positive note, the race is tomorrow, and the team will aim to find a few more tenths during Qualifying tomorrow morning.
