A fifth overall today for TGRSA's Michael van Rooyen following two hotly contested South African Touring Cars races. The defending champion, who managed to avoid the opening race carnage, was not so fortunate in Race 2 when an incident saw him fall to the back of the grid.

Practice is done and dusted, and Michael leaves Red Star Raceway feeling positive. The issues that plagued him in Cape Town were resolved, and the defending champion feels more at ease behind the wheel of his SATC Corolla.
