The first Woolworths Charity Triathlon was held in 2009. Our goal? Raise as much money as we can for The Woolworths Trust. What is The Woolworths Trust you ask?

Since then we have had an annual event at different venues from Elgin Country Club, Ashanti Wine Farm to Paul Cluver Wine Estate but in 2022, we are going national! It is a Public Benefit Organisation (PBO) that was formed in 2003 and has been making a tangible difference in South Africa ever since. In partnership with various organisations, the Trust coordinates the many ways in which it strives

on the bike ⚡

Open terrain, fast sections, and enough punchy climbs to keep you working from start to finish.

It’s the kind of MTB route where you need to settle in, hold your rhythm, and keep something in the tank for the run.

Not every session needs to be hard.

Easy sessions are where you build the base - steady effort, better consistency, and enough control to keep progressing without burning out too soon.

They might feel slow, but they’re doing the work. 🏃‍♂️

With on the calendar, now’s the time to start building.

💫 There’s always that one session you’re looking forward to.

Long weekend means a bit more time to get it in - a longer route, better company, and no rush to be anywhere else.

What’s on your plan this long weekend? 🌿

Some runs are about pace - others are just about keeping it steady and getting the time in.

Easy runs help build your base, keep things consistent, and make sure you’re not overdoing it.

They might feel slow, but they’re what let you keep progressing over time🏃‍♂️

Long weekend = a bit more time outside.

A longer run, a new route, or just getting out with no real plan - those are usually the best sessions.

Nothing complicated, just time on the trails 🌿

Good trails, moving legs, clear head. 🚵‍♂️

Autumn rides just hit differently - cooler air, quieter trails, and better grip under the tyres 🍂

Where’s your go-to route this time of year?

The basics matter more than people think.

After your session, your body is primed to recover.

Getting in some fuel and fluids within 30–60 minutes helps replenish energy stores, repair muscle, and get you ready for your next session.

Simple habits - done consistently - make a real difference ⚡️
