Mindful Movement is a holistic education activity for children and teens in schools and studios around the Helderberg area. Learning and practicing skills to self-regulate, increase calm, promote fitness, improve balance and concentration. (and much, much more!)
Classes include breathing techniques, mindful games, story telling, gentle movement, nourishing Nidra's and art.

9. Collaborated with .sa to bring a soothing sound bath to the Breathing Break workshops

In celebration of Diwali here is a quick and easy breath you can introduce to your yogis 💥
This technique combines breathwork with movement and imagination (visualisation)
Making it a playful and engaging way to self-regulate.
🚀For more energetic yogis turn it into a full body breath by starting off standing. Kneeling down as you inhale and as you’re ready to launch, jump up and exhale with your fire works pop, pop, popping 🎇

I made this video for some of my yogis that had to leave our practice early but thought I'd share it with my social media fam as I HIGHLY recommend you introduce this mindful craft into your class!
A tangable tool to use when you're feeling overwhelmed by any of your feelings. Slowly moving 1 bead at a time as you inhale & exhale.

They tend to roll around and that can be more frustrating than fun!
Above are only a few examples to incorporate props into the practice. Improving gross motor development, balance and focus, all while having fun!
