Ok, I guess I am talking about schooling that was common from the 1950s to the 1990s).

Education was a different beast! Oppression and punishment were just part of a normal day at school, for most of us.

This might be why, after 12 solid years of fruitless 'studying,' I still cannot speak my 2nd language! 😊

Luckily, we know better now.

Herewith: My 10 Steps to Understanding Spoken English --
