Lethal Ladies Basketball Team Cape Town

On behalf of the Lethal ladies basketball team we would like to extend our deepest sympathies to Neo Fanampe family and friends. Neo was a respectful young man on and off the court and will be dearly missed.

The Lethal Ladies voted in favour of fitness and health last night at practice. So far undefeated this season, Lethal is excited about the amazing team we have this year and all the strong women who have chosen this team as their home.

Calling all female players who are looking for a fun, hardworking team of seasoned players to join for the 2024 Basketball Season. We are open to recruiting and ready to meet you! We have players from age 18 to 54 and we play for the love of the game, but also to win!

Please note, that you must have some proper experience in playing basketball to come to trials, for instance, you were on your high school or tertiary institution team. You must understand the rules and be relatively competitive. We unfortunately do not currently teach basketball to newbies or take in very young players with no experience. It is also key that you have transport and can get to and from practice as commitment to training is very important to us.

If you are interested, DM us here and join us for practice on Tuesdays from 7-8:30pm at the Herschel Girls School Indoor courts, in Claremont. Attend 3 sessions and we will confirm if you are a fit!

Team Dinner the night before . Food was eaten, swag was distributed and laughter and conversation was shared. And with this vibe we enter into day 1 tomorrow. Thanks again to our sponsors and supporters. We couldn’t do this without you. 🙌

We are getting so close to the big weekend🏀, we can almost taste it. Now it's time for us to mentally prepare and physically rest our bodies. It's not easy playing this hard when the average age of our players is way into the 30s. Luckily we have a good attitude, a great bunch of teammates, and a supportive sponsor in .

This is an appreciation post to for helping us prep for SAMBA 2023. Not only do we have the privilege of using their facilities but their awesome basketball team took their time out this week to play us, not once, but twice in preparation for the big weekend ahead. And boy did those girls make us work!!! Big shout out to their coach, the refs and all the players and their parents who came to support. 🙌
