Raising a strong-willed, big-feeling child can push any mom to react and then feel awful after. You’re not alone. I’ve been there.

I help moms understand their triggers, find their calm, and respond with confidence so home feels more peaceful & connected.

Ever notice how stress and anxiety can become your default setting, like your brain wakes up already bracing for the day?

That’s why starting with just one tiny moment of gratitude can be such a reset.

Not the big “I should be grateful for everything” kind… but the small, real ones, the ones that can feel doable and realistic 💛

☕️ “I’m grateful for my coffee.”
✨ “I love how the light hits the kitchen window.”

These little gratitude + glimmer moments give your brain a soft place to land and gently shift your focus from tension → calm.

Over time, you’re actually building new pathways that help calm become your go-to instead of stress.

It doesn’t have to be perfect. Just start with one small thing. 💛

👉 Save this for tomorrow morning and try it. You’ll be surprised at how much lighter it feels.

💬 Have you ever told yourself, ‘I’m calm, I’m patient’… and instantly thought, ‘Yeah right, what a load of nonsense.”

🧠 That’s not you failing, that’s your brain doing its job. When something feels too far from your lived reality, your brain rejects it. That’s why affirmations often don’t land.

✨ Here’s where reframing is different. But before you reframe, there’s an important first step:
👉🏼 Be honest with yourself. Acknowledge how you’re really feeling, stressed, angry, overwhelmed. Because what we resist, persists.
Naming it takes away some of its power.

✨ Then you reframe. Reframing meets you where you are and shifts you one step closer to calm.
Instead of saying, ‘I can’t handle this,’ try: ‘I’m learning to handle this.’
Notice the difference? One shuts you down. The other opens up possibility.

🔍 The science bit:
Your brain is more likely to believe what feels true. And when your brain believes it, your nervous system starts to relax. That sense of safety switches you out of survival mode and back into your calm, logical, problem-solving self.

🤍 The soul bit:
This isn’t about ignoring hard feelings or forcing yourself to ‘just be positive.’ It’s about finding a kinder way through them, for you and your kids.

💛 Try it today.
Step 1: Be honest and acknowledge your real feelings. Step 2: Reframe into something that feels a little more true and supportive. That’s how you get back in control.

➡️ Save this post for later, and share it with a mom friend who needs a gentle reframe.
