INSIDE THE SERIES — ZACK WATERS 💬
“There wasn’t just one single moment this season, but one that really stood out was seeing all the new U15s so excited to race.
Watching that energy and enthusiasm, and seeing the sport grow into something bigger than just competition, but also about learning how to save lives, was pretty special.
Alongside that, those tough races in the surf, pushing through when it hurts and having your teammates right there with you, those are always the moments that remind me why I love it. It’s that mix of challenge, purpose, and community.”
“My club, has played a massive role in my season. It’s more than just a place to train, it’s a group of people who push you, support you, and celebrate everything with you.
Being in that kind of environment makes it easier to stay motivated and keep showing up, and it’s a big part of what makes the whole experience so enjoyable.”
“Milnerton was definitely my favourite Rescue Sport Series event this season. The weather was unreal, there were fun waves, and the whole atmosphere just felt different.
The vibe between competitors was really positive, everyone was backing each other and just enjoying being out there. It had that perfect balance of good racing and good energy, which made it stand out.”
