Pretty wild Saturday… My U11 Durbanville Hockey Club team took a solid 15-0 win over Milnerton this weekend. Can’t lie — these kids are starting to click. 🔥

Been coaching for just over 2 months now, and this is my 3rd game where one of my teams has hit double digits. Seeing them progress this quickly has been awesome. Still loads to work on, but moments like this remind you why you show up every week.

Shoutout to the squad — they really played their hearts out. 👊

What a tournament for my Laerskool Brackenfell Primary u8A boys! They smashed it on the hockey field, winning all 3 matches last night:

4-1 vs Milnerton
13-0 vs Meridian
4-0 vs Vredekloof

Our U11A Durbanville Club Hockey team kicked off the season with a bang — dominating their very first game of the year with an incredible 14–0 win! 💪👏

The teamwork, energy, and sportsmanship shown on the field this weekend were next level. Couldn’t be prouder of this amazing group of young athletes. This is only the beginning — let’s keep pushing and growing together! 💙🏆

So this week I have been working hard on my under U8 and U11 Hockey boys at Laerskool Brackenfell Primary. Being a coach to these boys has really changed the way I see youth development and how fundamental skills training is a must for future success.

WHAT AN UNFORGETTABLE MOMENT!!! MVP in my first game as a senior Storm Player.

So this week I was officially asked to start playing senior mens Icehockey for Western Province Ice Hockey Association. I looked at the roster and some of my childhood South African Ice Hockey Federation heroes like Uthman Samaai, Alex Obery, Westly Krotz and Ryan Boyd's name was written next to mine. These are the best of the best in our country and I finally have the honor to be joining their team..

FIRST SHIFT I jump off the bench, heart racing as I build up speed and get a absolutely sweet pass of the puck for a clean breakaway up the center of the ice with a one on one against Matthew, our National Goalie. I beat the goalie stick-side just above the pads to find the back of the net. 2nd Period I play F1, get the puck in the corner, tight turn, feed Brendon Schultz for an absolute clapper from the blue for an assist.. This will definitely be rated as one of my best games ever. THANKS BOYS FOR THE AWESOME MEMORIES

So our first U18 South African Ice Hockey Federation practice match against the Almighty Cape Town Kings Senior Mens Team tonight. We worked hard and I am proud of the boys.. 4 Days before puckdrop for our Worlds Tournament so preparation is key. Not the end result that we want so back to the drawing board.

Playing against my childhood heroes for the first time in Green and Gold was a special moment.
