The place to stay up to date with all the information about the 48 Hour Film Project running in Cape Registrations open in June, so get your team together.

The 48 Hour Film Project, hosted by benchfilms, is a wild and sleepless weekend in which you and a team make a movie—write, shoot, edit and score it—in just 48 hours. On Friday night, 19 August, you get a character, a prop, a line of dialogue and a genre, all to include in your movie. 48 hours later, the movie must be complete. What a journey! Our Best Film winners, Shot by Short Notice, took BENEATH to Filmapalooza and placed in the Top 15 worldwide. An incredible achievement on such a competitive global stage.

The Co-Chair of the review panel ranked the film 9th in his Top 25, saying: “A thoroughly professional production from start to finish, this film could play at almost any festival in the world and the Sound design is impeccable.”

We couldn’t be prouder of this team and how they’ve represented Cape Town. Next stop: CANNES.
