And just like that, Durbie Dash 2026 is done and dusted! Well, more like soaked, splattered and thoroughly mudded out 🤣💦

To all the who braved the conditions, showed up and crossed that long-awaited, drenched finish line — WELL DONE! 👏🔴⚪🔵 You are absolute legends!

Some weren’t quite so lucky, Fred who had a couple of uninvited punctures, while others decided to take the David Copperfield disappearing act route! 🪄😂 And yes, Polly Sacker … we know it was you 🤣🙈☕️ (exhibit A attached)

But rain, mud, mechanical mishaps and mysterious disappearances aside, those who made it across the finish line did so with a medal in hand, and me with water in places I never knew possible in a cycling kit! 😳💦 Well, so a friend informed me… 😉😂

And a heartfelt THANK YOU to all the Stay Wider of the Rider marshals who took the brunt of the miserable weather to keep our riders safe. You are absolute stars! ⭐👏

🚴‍♀️🔴⚪🔵 GO GET ’EM, OUTRIDERS! 🔥

Wishing all our venturing onto the Durbanville roads tomorrow for the Durbie Dash the very best of luck! 💪🚴‍♂️ One of the first races of the season, and a chance to show them what are made of!

🌧️ Every year, as we know, is unpredictable and this year is one of those. So in short, I'll play a weatherlady --- "It’s going to be a chilly, around 14–16°C 🥶, with a few showers expected early on🫪. So, rain jackets and arm warmers are a must! The wind will start light from the north before turning southerly around 09:00–10:00😫." So just all be in before 10am 🤣🤣🤣🤣 That's it. So with slightly wet roads, please ride smart, stay alert!

Most importantly, cross that finish line with a BIG smile, and your Outriders 'gees' shining through! 🙌🔴⚪🔵

Go smash it, Outriders! Ride safe, race strong and make us proud!

I know that Polly Sacker and Sharon Thomson O'Regan are bringing their A-game 💪👏💪👏 Let's show them your mojo, ladies!

🚵‍♂️🌊 MTB TAKE ON KOEBERG! 🌿☀️

Another beautiful day to get those wheels turning! 😎 Today, our MTB headed out to Koeberg, soaking up the sunshine, fresh air and some quality time on the trails. 🚲

📸 Apologies for the lack of photos, our boys were having too much fun in the sun 🌞— you’ll have to make do with just one featuring Jeff, Ravi and Gary Nicholls ! 😂 At there's least we have proof that they actually went riding! Being on the tail of our e-bikers, what more of a workout could Gary ask for 💪💪🏁

The weather was absolutely perfect, and Mother Nature even arranged a lovely North wind to give them a helping push back to ☕️☕️☕️ at Seaside Village. Now that’s what we call excellent service! 💨🤣☕

Great riding, good company and a well-earned coffee stop — what more could you ask for?

🚴‍♀️ Another Tuesday, another date with the at Killarney Racecourse Track!** 💙❤️🤍

“It's going to be an easy one today,” said Polly Sacker, and then, just like David Copperfield, 💥poof💥— she disappeared! 😂💨 We’re still trying to figure out what happened to that “easy” ride!

Killarney delivered its usual Tuesday special: wind, chilly but not too cold, plenty of smiles and, of course, loads of fun. Because what else would we expect when the get together? 😎🚴‍♂️ Where else am I going to find my mojo💙

Big thanks once again to the Pedal Power Association Marshalls, both on 🚴🏻‍♂️, and off the track, for keeping things safe and running smoothly. Your support is always appreciated! 🙌

🚴‍♀️ THE WERE EVERYWHERE TODAY! 🔥💙❤️🤍

What a busy Sunday on two wheels! 😎

While some of our were putting in the big miles with their Gran Fondos as part of their Double Century training (those legs aren't going to train themselves! 💪), a large group headed out towards Kalbaskraal for a club ride with some seriously awesome numbers lighting up those bike computers! 📈🚴‍♂️ Well done, team!

And then… I had a little mother-and-daughter adventure up Baineskloof. A beautiful meander, okay, for Zoë, and me questioning every life decision, with every pedal stroke bringing a fresh round of “WHY DID I THINK THIS WAS A GOOD IDEA?!” 🥹🥵

But that's the beauty of cycling — big training days, social rides, mountain adventures and memories made along the way. Some chase the numbers, some chase the views, and some are just trying to survive the next climb! 🤣🙋🏻‍♀️

Different rides, different goals, one awesome cycling family! ❤️🤍💙

If the Perdeberg Cycle Ride isn’t on your Sunday agenda, don’t pack away those cycling shoes just yet! 😉 The are still hitting the road for our regular Sunday club ride, and with the weather looking great, there’s every reason to get those legs spinning! 💪😎

📍 Meet-up: Lè Petit Café, Sandown Road
⏰ Departure: 07h30 sharp
📏 Distance: Approximately 85 km
🚴 Average speed: 25–26 km/h

Our route: Out along the R27, up the link and left onto the N7, turn towards Philadelphia, then left onto Kalbaskraal before returning via the N7.

Expect good company, fresh air, a few miles in the legs and the usual camaraderie! 🙌

Whether you're keeping the legs ticking over or simply keen for a lekker Sunday morning on the bike, come join us. All welcome — ride safe, stay safe! ❤️🚴‍♂️

Round and round they went, putting in the loops and showing that cold crisp weather and an angry little breeze weren't going to stop them! 🥶💨😂

Well done Hilton, Mark and Derek on braving the conditions, got those legs turning and, most importantly, had a blast while doing it! 👏💪 Sorry to have missed out this week!

Clearly, something VERY secret was happening… 🤫 A special training session? A top-secret route? Or perhaps the Mothers are just keeping the Others on their toes! 😂

Whatever the mission was, these fantastic ladies were certainly looking the part and putting in the kilometres. 💪👏

Because when the legs are strong, the smiles are wide and the scenery is breathtaking, no posing skills are required! 🚴‍♀️💪😄

Well done! 👏 Judging by the chill in the breeze today, I know that Gran Fondo ride didn’t happen in the easiest weather conditions, but you still showed up and smashed it! 💙❤️🤍
