Daar is soveel aande wat ek in die bed lê en terug d**k aan die klein dogtertjie wat so hard opsoek was... konstant opsoek was, na liefde, na aandag, na vrede, na geluk, na 'n plekkie waar sy kan behoort, na die sin van die lewe.
Hierdie leemte en "soeke na" het my by gebly vir die langste tyd in my lewe.
Jy sien, as trauma jou tref van só 'n klein tyd af beïnvloed dit letterlik jou hele lewe voorentoe. Hoe jy die wêreld sien, hoe jy jouself sien, die geleenthede wat op skool aan jou gebied word, soos om te kan leer, iets wat jy nie eers ten volle gebruik nie, want jy is net besig om dag tot dag te oorleef.
Ek het onlangs 'n aanhaling gelees waar iemand gesê het, trauma van kindertyd af is soos om vir iemand 'n plastiek mes en vurk te gee en 'n papier bord met 'n taai stuk vleis om te eet, en die res van die mense kry 'n staal mes en vurk en 'n harde bord... jy gaan steeds die vleis kan eet, dit gaan jou net 10 keer langer vat en soveel moeiliker wees.
Vir die langste tyd in my lewe het ek nie die regte gereedskap gehad om te veg vir myself nie, en die leemtes met alles probeer vul wat die wêreld kon offer.
Tot op 'n dag wat ek Jesus ontmoet het in 2014. My lewe was nooit weer dieselfde nie, Hy het elke holte stadig maar seker begin vul. Na soveel jare se ongeluk en seer, het Hy my in een aand só oorweldig met liefde en 'n "sense of belonging".
Hy het alles wat seer was kom heel maak. Sy woord het my geleer oor waardigheid, oor genade, wat dit is om te vergewe, om aan te kan beweeg...
Vandag lewe ek in totale vrede, ek het heeltemal "surrender" en laat myself toe om God se plan vir my lewe te volg.
Ek het lewensafrigting gaan studeer omdat dit my hart is om God se mense toe te rus met die gereedskap om hulle self te kan help, ek is net die hulpbron, maar God die hoof bron van alle genesing.
My gebed vir elke mens is om na God te draai, by sy voete te gaan sit, jou hart teenoor Hom uit te stort en werklik te wéét hoe lief Hy jou het, dat hy die 99 sal los om jou te vind. 🙏

Child Protection Week aims to create awareness of children’s rights with the intent to stop the cycle of neglect, abuse, violence and exploitation of children. National Child Protection Week this year is commemorated from 28 May to 4 June 2024.
By the age of 17, six in every 10 South African children will undergo at least one adverse childhood experience – defined as stressful and potentially traumatic situations that occur during childhood and adolescence and threaten their safety, security, trust or bodily integrity.

Next, express your intentions positively. Instead of framing them as what you want to avoid, focus on what you want to attract. Imagine your intentions as a lighthouse guiding your actions.
Visualize success. Picture yourself achieving your goals and immerse yourself in the emotions of that accomplishment. This mental rehearsal reinforces your commitment.
