Yesterday we experienced heavy rain, and some families were deeply affected.
Some lost clothes.
Some lost furniture and household items.
Some lost their homes.
And sadly, some lost their lives.
As one person, it may feel impossible to help a whole community.
But together in unity we can make a real difference.
We are not trying to replace the government.
We are not trying to fix everything.
We are simply choosing to be a shoulder, not just to cry on, but a shoulder to lift one another up. A shoulder to lean on.
We want to give hope.
We want to remind them that this moment is not the end.
We trust that God is still guiding us, even in this phase.
“For I know the plans I have for you… plans to prosper you and not to harm you.”
Tomorrow can be a better day and we can be part of that change.
So I’m calling on you, my brothers and sisters:
If you are able to help with:
• Clothes
• Blankets
• Groceries
• Financial contributions (even R20 makes a difference)
• Your time to visit families
• Or even prayer
We appreciate it all.
Give what you can.
Give with a willing heart.
Do not give in a way that leaves you struggling, give with grace and peace.
If you know a family that has been affected, please inbox me.
Let’s respect their privacy if they prefer it that way, but let’s still show them love and support.
Social media has helped us before. It once helped us support an orphanage when we couldn’t afford it on our own, but together, we did it. I believe we can do it again.
Whatever you are able to do, that is enough.
Let’s stand together for our brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers, and children.
Let’s show love.
Let’s be present.
Let’s be hope.
In Jesus’ name, thank you all 🤍🙏🏾
