Unlike our Backdraft Cobra road cars, our race cars don't have opening doors.

So how do you get in?

Simple... climb over the roll cage and carefully work your way down into the cockpit. It's not exactly the most graceful entrance, but it's all part of the racing experience!

Just like the old days, getting into a race car is a bit like conquering a jungle gym. Once you're strapped in, though, there's only one thing on your mind: the next corner.

With the heavy rainfall in the Eastern Cape, the Backdraft Racing Series is well prepared for a rainy day at the track.

Our cars are equipped with Dunlop Tyres SA Direzza semi-slick tyres, which means that if rain starts during an endurance race, there's no need for a pit stop. Our competitors can simply keep going and focus on the race.

Rain or shine, the show goes on. 🌧️🏁

Déjà Vu! 👀

Our long-time competitor Fikile Holomisa has a few surprises in store for Round 3 at the Aldo Scribante Racetrack .

One of them we can reveal already: he will be teaming up with Xolela Njumbuxa, better known as Mr. X.

It’s a real case of déjà vu. Back in April 2025, the pair already joined forces in a Backdraft Cobra, and now they’re back together for another shot at glory.

As for the second surprise...🎁 you'll have to wait until next week. 😉

Red-hot brakes are one of the spectacular sights you'll witness during the 5-Hour Endurance Race on Saturday, 13 June at Aldo Scribante Racetrack.
