Harties Poised for Sibanye Super League Debut as Season Kicks Off

Hartbeespoort — Harties Rugby Club will step onto a bigger stage in 2026 after securing a place in the Sibanye Super League, a prestigious competition that brings together 40 clubs from six provinces. The announcement has ignited excitement across the town as the club prepares to test itself against some of the country’s most competitive community sides.

The season opener for Harties is set for 14 February 2026, when the team will host its first match at Harties High School. Organisers and club officials are expecting a lively atmosphere for the Valentine’s Day fixture, with families, alumni and local supporters turning out to back the home side.

Preparations at Harties have been described as thorough and focused. Training sessions have intensified in recent weeks, with coaches prioritising fitness, set-piece accuracy and defensive organisation.
