It’s Comrades week, and South Africa is buzzing!
There’s nothing quite like watching thousands of runners take on 87km of road. The dedication it takes just to stand on that starting line is legendary. 😎
But if watching the hype has you craving your own ultimate milestone… we have a challenge for you.
Swap the tar for the trail.
Run 83km around Hartbeespoort Dam at the Harties Loop on 1 August.
Covering 83km is a massive achievement on any surface, but the rugged Magaliesberg is a whole different beast. Out here, you trade smooth asphalt for steep vertical climbs, technical footwork, and ancient quartzite ridges.
It’s tough.
It’s slow.
And it’s easily one of the most rewarding days you will ever spend on two feet. 👊

The 42KM at the Harties Loop is the most technical trail marathon in Gauteng.
Bone-dry singletracks. Exposed ridgelines. River crossings. A finish that makes every metre worth it.
