First People Trail Run Series

This Unesco World Heritage Site is a stunning and otherworldly landscape of balancing rocks, known as kopjes - giant boulders unfeasibly teetering on top of one another. When you see it, it's easy to understand why Matobo is considered the spiritual home of Zimbabwe.

The First People Trail Run Series is an incredible opportunity to visit this exquisite landscape, experience Africa and take part in an incredible and challenging Trail Running Event.

First People has expert organisers and provide tents, all bedding, showers, toilets, all meals, bar, Global rescue medical evacuation cover, connect you with local cultures, donate money to water facilitation and/or other benefits to poor rural communities.

•The First People Trail Run Series series consists of 4 runs in: Namibia (Kalahari desert), Botswana (Okavango delta), Zimbabwe (Matobo foothills), and South Africa (Drakensberg mountains).
•Each event is 5 days, 4 days of running plus one rest day.
•Distances will vary between 10km and 25km per day.
•Each event will be limited to a maximum of 60 runners.
•The first event in the series will take place in May 2020 in Zimbabwe.
•Tents, bedding, food, transport, medical and much more provided.
•Cost: $2,500 per event.
