The WITS Basketball Club is one of the best basketball clubs in the country and open to students studying at University of the Witwatersrand. The men's team (WITS Bucks) having won USSA National Championship status in 2016, 2017 and 2021, as well as the Inaugural Varsity Basketball Championship in 2018.
