The recent Gauteng meetings may prove to be a significant turning point for karate administration and governance in South Africa. These engagements provided stakeholders with an important platform to openly discuss a range of long-standing concerns affecting the sport.
Senior leaders expressed views on renewed leadership, fresh thinking, and a stronger focus on rebuilding the karate community. The karate community are calling for meaningful reform and improved governance, and an environment where stakeholders can contribute openly, respectfully, and without fear.
The fact finding mission is now concluded and many believe it an important step toward the future of karate on South African soil.

After a Jawdropping week of WKF karate in South Africa - fact finding mission, it was amazing to see how karate mums draw the line in the sand and speak their hearts. You all will forever be remembered. Happy mothers day to ALL karate mothers, grandmothers, aunts and guardians. Have an awesome day.

During the recent WKF fact-finding mission meeting held in Gauteng, a question was directed to the Vice President of KSA regarding whether any KSA members would face suspension for attending the meetings in SA.
In response, the Vice President clearly and confidently assured all those present that no KSA member would be suspended for their attendance. The meeting applauded his assurance.

All stakeholders are hereby informed of an official fact-finding meeting regarding Sport Karate activities in South Africa.
This mission will be conducted by the President UFAK and Vice President of WKF, the Honourable Souleymane Gaye and Bechir Cherif, respectively.

The purpose of this engagement is to gather information and place on record any concerns, experiences, or evidence relating to irregularities within Sport Karate structures in South Africa.
Who should attend:
All Sport Karate stakeholders are encouraged to attend, including:
Athletes and Parents
Coaches
Administrators
Officials
Neighbouring Provinces (Limpopo, Mpumalanga, North West, Free State)
Particularly, individuals who believe they have been disadvantaged or affected by any irregularities are invited to present their accounts for official record.
Your participation is important in ensuring transparency, accountability, and the future integrity of Sport Karate in South Africa.
Please attend - This meeting will pave the way towards a Rehabilation of Sport Karate in SA.
