Dash Racing once again arranged for kids from Hope Recovered to attend the annual iLamuna 24Hr Race in Delmas. By all accounts they had a fantastic time and we look forward to creating further opportunities for these kids to be exposed to car culture and motorsport. Although our race didn’t go according to plan (we finished 21st out of 70 plus starters in our spare car after blowing an engine during practice) it was an absolute privilege to look up at the stands and see and receive such amazing support from this incredible group of kids (they even made a banner).

Inside the ultimate mancave

Dash Racing we’re represented at the BMWCCG Time Trial Championship by both Dhiren and Seten driving their Trans Africa Racing EK Honda Civics. They both did 1m14s laps and in the process outpaced a few BMW and Porsche entries. These cars run stock suspension and brakes, weigh about 1100 kilograms (with rollcage and driver) and only have about 96wkw of power. In the immortal words of Colin Chapman: “Adding power makes you faster on the straights. Subtracting weight makes you faster everywhere”.
