🇧🇼 Happy 60th Independence Day, Botswana! 🇧🇼

To all our incredible supporters, friends and racing family in Botswana, Global Elite Racing would like to wish each and every one of you a very Happy Independence Day!

Thank you for the incredible support, hospitality and friendship you show us every time we visit. You have truly made Botswana feel like a second home, and for that we will always be grateful.

GREAT NEWS BOTSWANA

*THE SAFARI JUST GOT WILDER.*

For the first time in its history, the *South African Safari Rally* is crossing borders.

In *2027*, competitors will race from South Africa into Botswana as two of the rally's five stages combine to create a true cross-border marathon stage.

Leaving the main bivouac at Sun City behind, crews will race deep into the *Botswana bush before spending the night at a satellite camp with no usual technical support.* They'll have to rely on their own resourcefulness to make repairs before racing back across the border towards Sun City the following day.

*Two countries. One extraordinary African adventure.*

🏁 WELL DONE KT & SCOTT! 🏁

What a performance from this young duo at the Kameel 300! 💪🔥

KT and Scott took on the full 300 km together, with this being Scott’s very first time navigating in a race.

Despite a few navigation errors along the way, they kept their heads down, pushed on and delivered an absolutely brilliant result.

🏎️ Prologue: Started P32 and moved up to P30 for the main race
🏁 Finish: P22 out of approximately 42 cars
🏆 Class G: P5 out of 7 competitors

Moving from 32nd to 22nd overall over the weekend is something these two can be extremely proud of, especially with Scott navigating for the first time!

Great teamwork, determination and another 300 km of valuable experience in the bank.

Next up: Barberspan 300 in October! 🔥

After some time out of the seat to focus on her studies, and following repairs after a major accident at the Schweizer 300, Katie “KT” VdV is ready to strap back in!
