Keirin carnage.... my happy place

Post Olympic games the question I had to ask myself was what was next, what was worth fighting for. and I took a look at the race calendar and at the funding that we had left and knew there is always good racing to challenge a person but absolutely no funds to do so. But as she has said to me countless time, we have done this on a prayer so let's keep fighting.
World champs last year was not to be as I had no funding at all. By grace we got an invite to where the little bit of sponsorship exposure money we got in was invested into working for a commonwealth games medal.
From December until the day the team was announced I put my head down and worked as hard as I possibly could, knowing that I could do a one minute kilo at the games and also knowing a sub minute kilo was not impossible.
Not having the resources or funding available is always a challenge but within this amazingly there is always opportunities that present themselves, I would like to thank those people who assisted and supported me during this time with the resources, knowledge and time that you have given me.
During this preparation time I managed to get an 8th place at a Nation's Cup (World Cup), ranking me third in the commonwealth.
Maintaining not one but two top 20 world rankings.
15th (3rd in the commonwealth)
19th (6th in the commonwealth)
37th (9th in the commonwealth)
For those that have asked and that are asking
As to why I was not at the Commonwealth Games... well your guess is as good as mine....
Needless to say it hurts.
Today I am back in South Africa waiting upon a visa so I can go race at the level I love, in the sport I love and in the environment I love.
The next event I am training for is World championships hopefully this goal will come into fruition and we will be fighting at the top level once more.

I am honored and happy to have defended my Individual Continental Titles in the Sprint, Keirin and 1kmTT.
A few weeks ago I was not sure if I would be able to get to the event let alone be able to compete, as it looked grim with limited funds and resources.
I am super grateful to those that donated to my gofund me, I am really so grateful for your generosity.
A super shout out to
For stepping in and helping us cover the difference, without you guys this would not have been possible.
To carry on competing at the level I love after the Olympics has taken its toll, with the constant worry about finances I have been at the brink of hanging my bike up. I can honestly say without the support of those close to me and those I have met on my journey this would have happened.
I am grateful for those that have stayed by my side and have pushed me through those points where I thought it was the end.
I am looking forward to continuing this journey into the future in the sport I love and at the level I want to be competing and fighting at.
I have no idea how we are going to do it, but as Brigitte has said to me, "we got to the Olympics on a wim and a prayer," there is no reason to stop praying for it now. 🙏
Again a big big thank you to every person that has contributed to not only these continental titles but to every person that has contributed to my journey in every and any positive manner possible.
These wins are for you. 🥇
We will continue to fight. 💪🏻
Thank you to the management and staff .com_ for all your efforts

I am hugely grateful for the people that I have met and will meet here, thank you to those that have impacted my career and my life.
